Ok Hotel Catering to Conferences
Overall experience was ok. My reviews reflect the cost of room/food/facilities as it relates to the overall value.
First thing I noticed walking down the hallway to my room was the overall musty/mildew smell. It wasn't prevalent until I started walking down the wing that led to my room.
The room was ok and fairly confortable. I think the room was supposed to have a mini fridge but the cabinet housing where one might go was an empty cavity. Tv and remote were older and didn't work that great. The shower floor wasn't "set" at the correct slope to drain adequately and one ends up standing in a pool of water while showering. It is simply an older room that was remodeled and it was a retro fit job. Not horrible just average. So for the cost per night I just didn't see the value and it seemed overpriced.
The food and restaurant prices were just pain ridiculous. I paid $5 for a bottle of water and $2.69 for a pack of gum. The restaurant prices were similarly overpriced and the only choices for hotel guests so I guess it's what people pay because they don't have any other options. If you stay bring your own water or shop down the street at the convenience store.
The hotel staff were excellent and friendly. They always said Hello in the hallway and were apparently trained in customer service.
As one might guess from the hotel name, there are many, many convention rooms here, a couple dozen at least of all various sizes and capacity. Because of this its a bustling hotel.
