Ascend a flight of stairs to enter this second-floor loft, which sits directly above The Meyer Bar on the north side of Occidental Square. High ceilings and tall windows bring in an abundance of natural light, while exposed brick, beams, and ductwork enhance the rich history of the place. After a full day spent strolling the city, there are several inviting spaces to lounge and relax - a central living room with a streaming-capable flatscreen TV, a light-filled sitting room overlooking the square below, and a private rooftop deck with a view of downtown and beautiful Smith Tower (the city's oldest skyscraper). When you're not out for breakfast at The London Plane across the square, you'll have a fully appointed galley kitchen and a separate dining room for six, allowing you to easily prepare and serve any produce, meat, or seafood you've picked up at Pike Place Market. We used this loft as our home base during our wedding weekend, both as our crash pad for us and our kids and the picturesque getting ready space for the bride and her bridal party. Gorgeous. Exquisite. Such a unique and character fueled spot. THEN we had the life line directly to a real human who could help answer questions, just a phone call or text away. This was INTEGRAL when it came to our unexpectedly chaotic and busy check out. THE ONLY reason I gave 4 rather than 5 stars was because of the location being directly above a bar. Obviously that’s not a hidden fact, just something I didn’t fully grasp until we were there. Sleeping was a touch challenging as music was playing until early in the morning. Sound machines did the trick for the most part (and, by the way, they have sound machines provided in each bedroom). 10/10 would recommend. Carpets and couch, come curtains were stained. There wasn't just one bar but two below the space. The noise from there was not an issue it was the house-less encampment in Occidental Park and screaming people every night, law enforcement and ambulance/emts responding (thank goodness!). The deck was covered in pigeon feathers and dirty. We did not feel safe sleeping here. I'm sure this was once a very nice space but it looks very haggard! This property is located in the pioneer square area. Lots of food and bar options located very central to everything in downtown.
