Sleeps 8 in 4 charming bedrooms – a dream coastal escape for families or friends. Gaze at sweeping sea views, unwind in the snug TV room, and cook in the spacious kitchen. Outside, enjoy a large swimming pool (open April–Sept), wildlife pond, sunken trampoline, and two seating areas – all with breathtaking views. No parties – just peace, comfort, and coastline.  
  
The Space:  
  
Welcome to our unique four-bedroom thatched cottage, perfectly positioned above the beautiful seaside village of Beer. With uninterrupted views over Beer Beach and the open sea, this detached, characterful home is a peaceful haven for families looking to relax, explore, and make lasting memories on the UNESCO Devon coast.  
  
Set behind private gates, the property opens onto a large driveway with ample parking for multiple cars, making arrival easy and stress-free. Inside, the cottage sleeps up to eight guests comfortably, offering four individually styled bedrooms, each with stunning sea views. There are two super-king bedrooms, one cosy double, and a twin room with two single low beds - ideal for children. Two bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, while a spacious family bathroom with a separate bath and shower cubicle serves the others.  
  
The interior is full of warmth and personality. A snug lounge offers a quiet space to relax, play games, or watch movies. The fully equipped kitchen flows into a bright dining room with seating for eight - perfect for family meals or special occasions. The main lounge is a standout space, with wraparound windows that frame breathtaking sea views and fill the room with natural light. A private outdoor swimming pool adds fun for all ages, open April to September, and complimentary WIFI is available throughout the property to keep you connected.  
  
Step outside to a large patio that stretches across the back of the house, featuring two separate seating areas - ideal for morning coffee, outdoor dining, or simply soaking up the sea air. An ornamental pond with a charming little bridge leads down into a spacious lawned garden, giving children plenty of room to play while adults relax and enjoy the coastal surroundings.  
  
The cottage sits directly on the South West Coast Path, part of the Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site, providing direct access to stunning cliff-top walks toward Branscombe or Seaton. The village of Beer, just a short stroll away, is framed by dramatic white chalk cliffs and filled with traditional charm, offering pubs, local shops, and fresh seafood.  
  
Nearby family-friendly attractions include Pecorama with its delightful gardens and miniature railway, the fascinating Beer Quarry Caves with guided underground tours, and the scenic Seaton Tramway. Nature lovers will enjoy Seaton Tramway running along side The Wetlands or the Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth, both perfect for family outings. Just behind the cottage, Beer Head Bistro in the caravan park serves great food and drinks with incredible views - ideal for a relaxing lunch or evening treat.  
  
For those looking to explore further, the charming town of Lyme Regis is approximately 9 miles away by car, offering a delightful day trip with its historic harbour, fossil-rich beaches, and vibrant local shops and eateries.

Greenhill Cottage sits in a peaceful, traditional part of Beer, surrounded by character cottages and quiet residential lanes. It’s a friendly, laid-back neighborhood where life moves at a gentler pace, and you’ll often see locals heading out for coastal walks or chatting outside the village shop. Despite the calm setting, everything is conveniently close, so you get the best of both worlds - tranquility without feeling remote.  
  
The area feels safe and welcoming, with very little traffic, making it ideal for relaxed stays, early mornings, and evenings spent unwinding after a day by the sea. From the cottage, it’s easy to step straight into village life or head out onto the stunning coastal paths that make Beer such a special place to stay.  
  
Getting Around:  
  
Greenhill Cottage is perfectly placed for exploring Beer and the surrounding Jurassic Coast. Beer Beach is just an easy 8-minute walk downhill from the cottage, making morning swims, beach days, and sunset strolls wonderfully simple. The village itself is compact and walkable, with pubs, cafés, galleries, and coastal paths all close by.  
  
If you’re heading further afield, having a car makes exploring effortless. Seaton is only an 8-minute drive away, with its seafront, tramway, and shops, while the popular seaside towns of Sidmouth (20 minutes) and Lyme Regis (22 minutes) are both within easy reach for day trips, coastal walks, and fossil hunting. Local buses also run through Beer, offering a convenient option if you’d prefer to leave the car behind.
