Necanicum House - Oregon Beach Vacations Welcome to Necanicum House, located in Seaside, right in front of the Necanicum River and just down the street from the Seaside Promenade! This lovely, two story home boasts four bedrooms, two and a half baths, and is perfect for up to eight guests! Step inside your Seaside vacation rental and get ready to relax in style and comfort on your next visit to the Oregon coast. Park the car, and head inside. You'll find yourself in the living room area with enough seating for everyone in your group. Gather around the flat screen TV located above the fireplace and watch a movie together after a long day out on the beach. During those cold winter nights, feel free to warm your toes by the fire. Located just off of the living room, the kitchen provides everything you need to whip up a few homemade meals during your stay or plenty of space to set the takeout. The kitchen table holds four guests so feel free to gather in the living room area as well during meal time. There are also plenty of restaurants to check out while staying at Necanicum House. Pig n' Pancake, a pizza restaurant, and a great steak place are just a few places located on the Prom that offer great food and service. Head upstairs, and you'll find a half bath along with the primary bedroom, boasting a queen size bed and a private bathroom, complete with a shower/tub combo. You'll also find the other three bedrooms upstairs along with the final full bathroom. Two of the rooms each offer one queen size bed, while the fourth bedroom offers two twins, making this room perfect for any children in your party. While staying at Necanicum House in Seaside, be sure to check out the movie theater and the Seaside Aquarium should the weather outside turn frightful. Seaside also has a great outlet mall with many popular shops. There are also plenty of different kinds of restaurants to try or grocery stores to shop at for supplies while staying at your vacation rental. Bathrooms were gross, we had to unclogg the upstairs bathtub drain, the bathrooms had to be cleaned before we could even use them. We ended up buying a blow up mattress and bedding to sleep on in the living room because the rooms were so gross. Would not recommend this place to anyone. The home is in need of a complete renovation, deep cleaning and extermination. We immediately alerted VRBO about this expierence. We spent several thousand dollars to stay here! The house needs some TLC and a deep clean. The WiFi wasn’t working for us. There’s only 3 bedrooms and a space upstairs they put a 4th bed in but the mattress was horrible. There were spider webs everywhere and the top bunk bed wasn’t made and had candy wrappers in. They charge cleaning fee but required to load the dish washer, strip the beds and take all trash out. That being said it needs some work. The mattresses, I am guessing, are quite old and quite uncomfortable. The cleaning staff has not done a good job on cleaning this rental. We found clothes in the dresser, a dirty towel hanging on the back of a door and other things as well. There also seems to be a spider problem and perhaps some bug prevention spray needs to happen on the exterior. I would not stay here again. The cleanliness and maintenance at the house need attention. The kitchen counter had black stuff in the grout on the tile counter. Wasn't sure if it was stains or just dirty. The dishwasher door does not have enough room at the top to put your finger on the button to start the dishwasher. The pots and pans were not adequate for cooking, the bathroom window did not have any covering which would make for an uncomfortable shower experience. The sliding screen door was broken and unusable. The carpet on the stairs was very dirty and did not appear to have been cleaned. Maintenance issues were reported and a curtain was delivered for the window. There was not any spare toilet paper, paper towels or laundry pods and since we did not receive check in instructions in advance, we were unaware that we needed to provide all of these items. The property was hard to find from the street as you enter on a long unmarked driveway. Property management was responsive to our requests, but for the price of this rental, we did not feel the value was there. This property is great for the beach access but it was hard to cook in the kitchen due to inadequate cooking supplies. One of the reasons for renting a house is so that you have the kitchen and cooking options. The stove was stained and dirty on top, would benefit from a major deep clean and update. ##### Charlotte F. It was less than a 10 minute walk to the beach and main town. The hidden driveway was actually nice, since we didn’t have to worry about our toddler being near a main road while loading and unloading in the car. It was adequate for our needs since we spent most of our time outside/sightseeing. However, the place was not the cleanest. The downstairs had wood floor and tile that felt clean. But the area rug in the living room and carpet upstairs was stained and dirty. There were cobwebs in many corners of the rooms. After stripping the beds at the end of the stay, we noticed the pillows were yellowed/stained. The linens and towels did feel clean though. The kitchen had basic essentials but some of the pantry items were expired. Some of the pots and pans could be replaced as they were very worn and had loose handles. Around 10am, before checkout a woman (stated she was the housekeeper) pulled up saying we were supposed to be out at 10am and seemed irritated that we were still there. However, our checkout instructions and posted signage in the home stated checkout was before 11 am. First we didn’t receive the check-in information until 20 minutes after the check in time leaving us stranded. The carpets and couches were stained and cobwebs everywhere. The speaker to the tv was broken. There was white suspicious stains on the guest bedroom bedding, obviously it hadn’t been washed. The bunk bed top bed wasn’t made. The curtains were missing from bathrooms providing no privacy from neighbors. There was sand in the dishwasher and full of dishes. The grill was left in the garage dirty as hell and the propane was empty. The backyard fence is in need of serious repair. We have pictures if needed. Kitchen could use a couple more standard items, cookie sheets, griddle, better scrubber for dishes. Couches were stained and just didn't feel very clean. Also ran out of propane half way through grilling burgers. Also with multiple people staying, would have also been nice having more than one key for all of us. ##### Michael L. Was super clean at check in. Great location - 5 minute walk to beach, 10 minute walk into town. It’s location down a drive way and behind another house gave a more private vibe than most rentals. Main downside was the Wi-Fi. Movies pausing every few seconds at times became frustrating. With 6 people and their devices plus the two smart TV’s, the router and/or internet speed needs to be majorly updated. Thankfully, our main occupation during our visit was the beach! ##### Dave K.
