Sitting slightly above the Pacific, this home offers amazing ocean views from the deck and newly installed hot tub, living room and master bedroom. From the back deck, guests can relax and grill up some delicious local seafood - then move on to cooking s'mores on the firepit. Public access to the beach is nearby, so miles of gorgeous coastline is only a quick walk away. What's nearby: The home is located just across the highway from Ocean Beaches Glassblowing & Gallery, which demonstrates the art of glassblowing every afternoon. The Wood Carving Outlet and Seal Rock Espresso & Bakery are just a short walk further south. Seal Rock State Recreation Site, home to Oregon's famous tidepools and sea lions, is just over a half mile from the house. The charming city of Newport, with its bustling bayfront, great shops, restaurants, and breweries, is only 10 miles north on Hwy 101. This ocean-front home will treat you to masterpiece sunsets!! Miles and miles of ocean views right off the deck and out every west looking window! Magnificant! Find 8 miles of uninterupted beach combing by accessing the beach right down the hwy only one mile north. Drive one mile south into Seal Rock for great seafood at the Luna Sea Fish House. The house is the perfect pet-friendly home. With laminate floors, sweeping and vacuuming beach sand was a snap. Loved it. Great kitchen, comfortable beds and super quiet from hwy. traffic. There was even a gatorade bottle half full in the windowsill when we arrived. The view was amazing, and the bed was comfortable, but the house wasn't organized, the cupboards were old and the contents thrown in with no organization, the knives provided couldn't cut through butter. It did have an ocean view, but to access the beach you have to walk down a very busy hwy (Pacific Coast Hwy) and with children I wouldn't walk there, so we had to drive. The furniture was ok, but the dining room table seemed as if it should be thrown out . I realize it was pet friendly, but for the cost, I would expect better. It did full fill our needs enough for the weekend we spent there, and the hot tub was nice, however it was in a spot where you weren't able to see the beautiful views and that didn't make a lot of sense to me. It was very musky smelling, dishes were dirty, floors turned our feet black, refridgerator had some hair in it. This is the only place ive been that id rather be out doing something besides just chilling in the house. It has a lot of potential but needs a lot of love and up keep. ##### avis s. Sea lions hung out on a rock right out in front of our porch! Beautiful sunsets (when it wasn’t foggy). The hot tub was clean and much enjoyed. Only downside to the hot tub is the shrubs were too high to see the water. Something they could easily remedy. We had lots of hummingbirds visit as well as a bald eagle sitting in the tree right next to the house. Beds were very comfortable as was the rest of the furniture. My only complaint is that the windows need better coverage for light blocking at night and dawn. Front rooms have a streetlight shining in all night and super bright light in the morning. A couple fans would be nice also. Mostly comfortable with windows open, but still got a little stuffy.
