We booked here as it was a better fit for our budget but I would say there was a downside of having to drive 25mins to Bar Harbor every time we went for meals or the park. I gave 4 stars for location because it was slightly inconvenient to travel to and from Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park from the home. It is away from the touristy and busy areas of the island, but less than 30 minutes away from any area of Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The kitchen is truly a kitchenette, but we were able to cook a few meals (for two) with no problem. Nicole is very responsive and had many suggestions for kayaking off the beaten path.
