Whether you're here for a relaxing retreat or an adventurous getaway, you'll find plenty to explore in this beautiful coastal region. The property has just undergone a no expenses spared renovation. The 'beach chic' design is inspired by visits to beach hotels and villas from the Hamptons, Greece and our other holiday properties in Crail, Scotland. Shoreston is a tranquil and picturesque hamlet that attracts visitors looking for a peaceful retreat in the Northumberland countryside. Its proximity to the popular destinations of Seahouses and Bamburgh makes it an ideal location for those wishing to explore the stunning Northumberland coast while enjoying a more secluded setting. Constructed during the 19th and 20th Centuries, these traditional stone built cottages are of the arts and crafts era. Shoreston may be a small hamlet, but its history is interwoven with the rich cultural and historical tapestry of Northumberland, making it a special place to visit and explore. Indeed, the hamlet's history is a testament to the enduring legacy of rural Northumberland, where centuries-old traditions and modern life coexist harmoniously. The property has undergone a painstaking renovation in recent years with sustainability at the forefront, and in June 2024 we open up the property to the holiday rental market. Boasting 4 bedrooms, plenty of space for socialising plus flexible accommodation, this extremely spacious and light house makes the perfect holiday home for a group or special family gathering of up to 8 guests. Everything about this property has been very well thought through to create a relaxed and luxurious beachside feeling. As a self-catering property, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay and all kitted out with a seaside nordic style living style in mind. There are beautiful design features and touches throughout the house and gardens. The bespoke hand crafted kitchen leads through to a modern living and dining area with an extendable oak dining table which comfortably seats 8 guests, a comfortable corner sofa and smart TV and log burning stove. The sunroom off the kitchen offers a delightful place to sit in the sunshine and take in the beautiful views across rural Northumberland. The downstairs WC and shower room is small but perfectly formed, modern, clean and fresh. The snug affords an additional cosy space to read, watch TV and relax in front of the log burning stove. This is a favourite room of ours in the evenings to relax, read, tell stories and play boardgames. Upstairs there are 2 kingsize bedrooms, one with ensuite, a twin bedroom with two single beds, and a further double bedroom with views to Bamburgh Castle. All are stylishly furnished with beautiful seaside brightness and natural wooden furnishings. The tranquil beach vibe is enhanced by original art and crafts sourced both locally and from around the world. The family bathroom is beautifully fitted with free standing bath, spacious shower and exquisite tiles. Fresh towels and linens are provided. Enjoy the spacious walled back garden with stunning views across the fields and on to Bamburgh Castle. The patio provides comfortable rattan sofas from which to relax and enjoy a barbeque. The double garage games room is a more rustic space but packed with fun - including table football, small size pool table, mini table tennis and darts. The kitchen has a fridge, hob, double oven, kettle, coffee maker, freezer and microwave. West house is a perfect place to relax and offers a television and internet access. This house has 4 bedrooms and can comfortably sleep 8. House Rules: \- Check-in time is 4pm and check-out is 10am. Smoking is not allowed. No noise after 10pm. Only the number of guests you list are permitted to stay. There are free parking for two cars on the premises parking facilities available at the property. The space was perfect for us, with comfortable bedrooms and a great balance of spaces to relax and socialise. House is surrounded by stunning views and tastefully decorated to a beautiful standard. The level of detail and attention the design and finish of this really made it feel like the most perfect home away from home. Every single person in our group all commented on how gorgeous the property is and the location really is perfect. Less than 10 minute walk and you’re at the beach, 20 minute walk into seahouses and just over 35 to Bamburgh. A fab short drive to both locations. There wasn’t a single thing more we could have asked for to be in the property and the communication was truly fantastic and so speedy. Highly recommend and have told friends about this fab place.
