Great location on International Drive. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful with our room reservation and location details. The one bedroom suite (standard for this hotel) was clean and thoughtfully furnished with a very nice kitchen with a full size frig, microwave and dishwasher. The bed was extremely comfortable with very nice linens and pillows. Breakfast (included) was terrific with a nice variety of hot and cold items. The pool was very nice with beach towels provided and a walk up bar for a late afternoon cocktail. Will definitely stay here again.
Arrived into Orlando at approx 0300 & checked into the hotel to then have to meet the Rev. at 1000 to marry us! It was hectic & a bit chaotic....but the hotel staff were fantastic. The hotel AND the room were pristine. Beautiful place to stay, fantastic location, great staff. The ONLY recommendation I would give this hotel is....have your valet parking staff be more efficient. We were literally almost late to our own wedding after waiting 22 minutes for valet to bring us our car. It was such an event, the Hotel sent us a basket of fruit and champagne as well as a handwritten apology card for the delayed valet issue.
Let me say, first, that the staff was incredible. Everyone from the check-in desk to the cleaning staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and pleasant and the pool area is beautiful. The only downside was that we flew in to go to Universal and Disney and the hotel isn't within hot Florida walking distance to anything. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you come by car.
We regularly stay in Orlando to use our annual passes to the water parks. We have been in several NASTY hotels. It was getting so worrisome that we almost gave up on hotels that charged less than $125 for a night. Days Inn restored our faith that there are still some hotels that can be clean, safe and inexpensive. We've stayed in hotels with trash all over the property, dumpsters overflowing and pools that looked like watered down milk. Days was a breath of fresh air for us. We hope to use their facility again soon..
We love this hotel even though it is looking a bit worn down because we are away from the crowds and it is peaceful and quiet. We usually have a huge swimming pool to ourselves and it is lovely to unwind there after the hectic days
I stayed for work, but loved the experience staying at a resort-type hotel. The room was perfect. The grounds and lobby are wonderful. I played pool and fooseball, but didn't have time for the pool. Would have loved to lounge on the lazy river. The firepits at night are great and the gelato at the market store is amazing!! I would come back for the gelato!!
At first I questioned staying at this hotel due to the inexpensive price I obtained. However, I was very impressed at not only the quality of the facilities, but the cleanliness of the room and grounds. Staff were very friendly and as a matter of fact. I was greeted with a warm, friendly smile and warm cookies. I was so amazed and overwhelmed by the pure enjoyment of the overall experience that I have decided to select this hotel for all my future visits to the area. A heartfelt thanks goes out to Double Tree Hotel and all its staff.
SeaWorld Orlando, a marine mammal park, is just off International Drive. The popular destination is renowned for its killer whale, sea lion, and dolphin shows. Orlando's Orange County Convention Center is the country's second-largest in terms of square footage. After a day at the convention center, visitors can unwind with Orlando's wide array of golf courses suitable for putters of all levels.
