The Space: La Costiera features oversized windows allowing for natural lighting and panoramic ocean views, vaulted open-beam ceilings, and a bonus inside viewing area perfect for pulling out the binoculars and watching for birds or whales. This prime location is great for the nearby Del Mar Rec center where you can enjoy swimming and tennis. You will also find yourself situated at The Sea Ranch's north end, and just 5 minutes away from Gualala shops and restaurants. The bright and spacious living room is upstairs and has plush seating options gathered around a mounted 32" flat screen smart TV. High-speed, fiberoptic WiFi is also provided to make you feel at home. If the coastal breeze picks up at night light the woodstove to warm yourself and create a cozy ambiance. Lounge chairs face out towards the blue waters offering the perfect spot to read or nap. The washer and dryer are tucked away in the garage. A half bathroom is also available to share. The well-equipped kitchen has updated appliances and ample counter space for a chef to prepare anything they desire. Whip up anything from a yummy treat to a gourmet dinner. Call your guests to the dining table with seating for four to have a home cooked meal together. If you prefer to soak up every minute in the beautiful nature The Sea Ranch has to offer, step outside onto the balcony. The balcony overlooks the ocean and has a charcoal BBQ and outdoor dining set. The coastal inspired master bedroom is furnished with a King bed, sitting area, and private deck. The attached master bathroom has a shower/tub combo and dual sinks. Down the hall is the first guest bedroom with a Queen bed, and private deck. The second guest bedroom is great for kids and has 2 Twin beds. There is a full guest bathroom with a standalone shower and dual sinks. The front deck is a great hangout spot for everyone to hop in the hot tub and take a deep soak. This is also a great place to stay warm while you stargaze. The Sea Ranch is a planned community with over 3000 acres featuring: The Historic Sea Ranch Chapel, The Sea Ranch lodge (restaurant and shopping), a 50-mile trail system with 6 public beach access points, dog park, and 3 recreation centers with outdoor pools, locker rooms, half-basketball court, and tennis courts (amenities vary with each center) for guest use. We cooked every meal in the fully stocked kitchen, overlooking the views of the ocean. Dinner was followed by a relaxing soak in the hot tub. There are no houses between you and the ocean, just steps away from the bluff trail. We often watched deer munching on the vegetation, and numerous hawks and pelicans fly by.I stayed in the master bedroom. I was so pleased that the master bath had warm air blowing from under the vanity to keep my feet warm. Property was clean, tidy, comfy with a stocked kitchen. Only negative was the heating element was nonfunctional in the hot tub - kids were disappointed. But management was quick to assess and offered us a refund for the inconvenience. Wonderful home base to explore the region. Easy access to sandy beaches and tide pools beaches. Discovered plenty of treasures that had drifted onto the shore. Neighborhood is very safe and homes are spread out for privacy. The community recreation centers are fantastic for swimming or sitting in the sauna as long as you are comfortable with some choosing to sit in the buff next to you. Location is great, just steps from the Bluff Trail and a short walk to Gualala Beach. The property is more spacious than most places we've stayed at SR, giving us some room to spread out. We were lucky that the second floor balcony had clear views of the water so we saw several whales, and with the provided binoculars were able to see them breach! Bedrooms are large, living/dining/kitchen are spacious. The bedroom with two singles was anppreciated ans our kids won't share beds. Everything was nice and clean. Pretty much everything is provided that you might need, though I always pack a few spices, knives, etc, as I'm pretty picky about that stuff and recommend others do the same as the knives and spices and pans, while well provided are pretty standard fare for a rental. All in all another great trip to SR, the family enjoyed their time and this property is very well accommodating for good sized families. ##### Steve E. Sitting in the hot tub under the stars was beautiful. The only thing I wasn't aware of was that I couldn't have my mercedes sprinter van parked there and I ended up getting two warnings. It was extremely clean, spacious and comfortable. The views of the ocean were breathtaking, we saw whales from the living room, and the surroundings were very quiet - a short walking distance to the Gualala Point Regional Park. The hot tub was clean and sheltered from coastal winds. The property managers were very responsive when we reported that we found a hole in a window frame. The key pickup system added 15 minutes to our route but it was easy and well organized. Only downside was the salt deposits on the windows, which limited visibility at sunset. I enjoyed staring at the beautiful ocean colors from the spacious, extremely comfortable living room. The house is also right next to a cliff side trail that also had breathtaking views. Families of deer came to snack right outside the house! The hot tub was really relaxing. The kitchen well-stocked. The bathrooms very spacious. I loved this house and hope to come back! Then after completion and verification the day before the prop an into the next morning I kept getting texts and emails saying it wasn’t complete. After reaching out they confirmed it was completed. Went to Gualala to pick up arrival packet and it wasn’t there. Texted the property management company and they told me to go to the house and gave me a code for the lockbox there that had a key. Dec 17, 2019 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Cold, but clean The house definite has everything you’d need. It’s clean and well maintained. Great cliff walk access abs some decent views. (Wish you could see out the windows better.) However, the heating system is extremely inefficient. Given that all the bedrooms are downstairs you have to over heat the living room area in order to get even marginal heating in the bedrooms. It was a bit better after the first night though so it does warm up eventually. Overall, the upside down layout kind of takes away from the property, but it doesn’t ruin the experiences of Sea Ranch. ##### Madison S.
