« We were in town for my grandmother’s funeral and wanted to spend a little time exploring CVille and Monticello while we were here. It was clean, comfortable, safe, and cozy. It was perfect walking distance to restaurants and the mall. We were a quick drive to Monticello and hikes. Beds were comfy. My boys loved the sonic the hedgehog video game on the TV when we were packing up and during a storm that came through. We couldn’t have picked a better spot for our family. »

« The house and farm are just beautiful. We spent nearly the entire stay on the screened porch listening to the birds, watching the horses, goats, and chickens and enjoying the quiet serenity of the country. Our hosts could not have been more gracious and welcoming. We wondered around the property and soaked up the country, ate some amazing farm raised eggs, and made several excursions to nearby Monticello, antique shops, UVA, and 1799 at the Clifton for dinner. « We had an amazing vacation here at Sutton’s Roost. Home was terrific for us and our kids. Tons of room, well stocked kitchen, hot tub and sauna to calm our aching muscles after hiking all over the place. Upper back porch to relax and eat and watch the stars. « Charming. That's the word for this little house. Two very comfortable beds (separate bedrooms) for my friend and me. The big farmhouse dining table was perfect for a jigsaw and the front iving room was bright and airy. On top of all this, there was not a speck of dust anywhere...it was sparklingly clean.I'd book here again in an instant. »

« The house was very clean and entry was easy once we found the lock box. The open floor plan was especially nice for our family group of 10. All the bedrooms were large and beds were comfortable. The kitchen appliances were new and all worked well. The kitchen was very well stocked with small appliances, dishes, flatware, cookware, and spices. We really enjoyed the large deck with a view. We ate every meal alfresco! It was a memorable July 4th weekend for the entire family! »

« There were a few little hiccups, the top bunk bar was not attached (not an issue as it wasn’t fully needed) and the oven was broken but I message the owner and he replied back very quickly. Neither were an issue for us. The house was perfect! Plenty of cooking supplies for our crew of 12.
