Relax and enjoy your vacation at our log cabin overlooking Schroon Lake. The quaint village of Schroon Lake with great restaurants, shopping, a pristine public beach and boat launching area is a 5-minute drive from the cabin. This is the perfect spot to set up base and explore all that the Adirondacks have to offer. The cabin is nestled on a hillside with panoramic views overlooking beautiful Schroon Lake. Enjoy the privacy of the 2-acre property and surrounding hiking trails right off of the property. The cabin was built in 2017 and has modern amenities, yet still has the cozy feeling of an authentic Adirondack log cabin. The large deck on the main level looks out over Schroon Lake and the view is amazing! Here you will find a table and chairs with an umbrella and a propane grill. The living area on the first floor boasts a vaulted ceiling with lots of natural light from the many windows. The living area opens up to the kitchen and dining area so everyone can stay connected and enjoy their time together. The lake views from this area are so beautiful! The first floor has two bedrooms - one with two twin beds and the other with one queen bed. There is a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo on this level. Upstairs, you will find the loft area with a futon, a small TV with Roku for streaming & a DVD player - there are also board games, puzzles and DVDs. There is a catwalk off the loft that overlooks the first floor below and takes you out to the upper-level deck. This is the perfect place for your morning coffee overlooking the lake or gazing at the stars and constellations at night. On this level, you will find the third bedroom with a king bed, as well as the second bathroom with a corner shower. There is a full unfinished basement with game area (ping-pong, darts, air hockey, foosball, poker table), two comfy couches, a 65' TV with Roku for streaming, as well as a washer & dryer. After a fun-filled day exploring the Adirondacks, come back to your private log cabin. Relax on one of the two decks overlooking the lake. Enjoy the evening roasting marshmallows at the lean-to with a firepit and log benches. Enjoy a movie or board game in the loft. Head down to the basement for a game of ping pong, air hockey, foosball, darts or poker; or stream a show on the 65' TV with Roku. Relax, enjoy and make memories! There are so many things to do in Schroon Lake and the surrounding areas: Seagle Festival, Schroon Lake Public Beach, Schroon Lake Boathouse concerts, Scaroon Manor State Park, Paradox Brewery Tour, Fort Ticonderoga, Lake George, Schroon Stone Bridge and Caves, Gore Mountain, trout fishing on Schroon River and so much more! Love to hike? The Schroon Lake area offers numerous hiking trails - Mount Severance, Pharoah Lake Wilderness Area, Gull Pond, Crane Pond and so many more. You can also follow the hiking trail right off of the cabin property. Get out on the beautiful, crystal-clear 9-mile lake - kayak, paddleboard, boat, swim, fish. The nearby Schroon Lake Marina has boats, kayaks and paddleboards available to rent. About the town: Schroon Lake is a year-round vacation paradise. The village is a 5-minute drive from the cabin and has restaurants, churches, shops, and an original art-deco movie theater. There is also a Tops grocery store and a Stewart's convenience shop/gas station. There are many activities nearby – hiking, mountain biking, golfing, tennis, swimming at the pristine beach, great fishing, biking, rafting, sailing and much more. There are events for the whole family – an old-fashioned 4th of July parade, Adirondack Folk Festival, Arts and Crafts Fairs, Farmer's Market, Strawberry Festival, Square Dances, Boathouse Concerts, Plays and Operas. Check out the Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce website for a schedule of summer events! \*\*\*Important Notes\*\*\* \*The driveway is gravel with a steep hill to reach the cabin. Sometimes the tires can spin on vehicles when fully loaded and driving slowly. The best solution is to maintain a brisk speed to the top. AWD/4WD vehicles are recommended. \*Linens (sheets/pillowcases) and bath towels will be provided. Please bring your own beach/lake towels. \*Please park boats, trailers, etc at the bottom of the hill on the right side across from the propane tank prior to going to top of hill where the cabin is. (Boats can be launched at the public dock in the village 5 minutes from the cabin.) \*The cabin comfortably sleeps 6 people in the 3 bedrooms. There is a futon in the loft area that will sleep an additional two people, but please note this is in a common area of the cabin and offers no privacy, storage, etc. 8 people (including children) is the absolute max allowed at the cabin due to space and septic tank capacity. \*There is a Blink doorbell camera on the deck facing the driveway that you will see when you come up the steps onto the deck. Please note that this is for property security purposes only and is not actively monitored/doorbell is not answered. \*Please ensure you leave by 10:30am on check-out day to allow our cleaning service to enter and begin preparing for our next guests. The minute a saw the spice rack I knew they thought of everything... I was able to cook a nice birthday dinner for my sister and not worry about anything. It was all and all a very relaxing stay. Only a short drive from town and the best beach, we had an amazing trip with our young kids. We really wanted to get away from crowds, but still enjoy amenities, so Stacey’s house and Schroon Lake completely delivered. Schroon is accessible to other tourist destinations; we easily visited lake placid and lake Champlain and retreated to our quieter oasis. Stacey was promptly responsive and helpful and the house was well stocked. Everything you could want: fire pit for smores, deck on which to enjoy meals, and game room for some time out of the sun. The view off the porches was breathtaking—I ate breakfast outside most days—and we never stopped marveling at the golden sunlight streaming in the large windows or the glittery lake below. All our kids enjoyed the basement game room, and we appreciated the location as a convenient launching point for a variety of hikes including Mount Jo, Severance, and Cascade/Porter. Schroon Lake Beach was a sweet reprieve on a warm day, and it was great to have several close options for groceries. Comfy beds, fluffy towels, modern appliances, and a charming fire pit area made this a truly restful getaway. It was meticulously clean when we arrived and the host was incredibly responsive. It did take us a few tries to get our van up the driveway initially—they aren’t kidding about it being steep! This cabin was clean and very well equipped with everything we needed. My kids loved all the games in the basement. Beautiful views from the porch. It was quiet and private but also just a quick drive to town where we could enjoy the town beach, shops, and dining. Check-in was easy and Stacey was very responsive and friendly! ##### Emily A. It was the absolutely spotless when we arrived. Communication with the owners were great. The cabin is very comfortable, well decorated and well stocked. The teens enjoyed all the entertainment in the basement. The views were stunning and we spent a good majority of the time on the deck. Wifi is a bit spotty but the owners already disclosed this. What a wonderful vacation we had! This house was beyond perfect. Extremely clean, well stocked, very comfortable for my family of 5\. The game room, the fire pit and the wonderful deck were some family favorites. The pictures don’t do justice to the incredible views. Close to everything you might need but still feels extremely private with plenty of space. The hosts were very easy to book with and had everything ready we could need. We even forgot an item by accident and they shipped it to us. Just above and beyond! I think this cabin is the perfect getaway. This is the second time we have stayed with them and are even happier this trip than last. They have made some nice little improvements to the property and it shows they really care about the quality of the place. The place was clean and spotless upon arrival, and it has plenty of the essentials needed to stay for a week or more. This place has a lot of the things that others are missing. Can’t really think of anything that was lacking. The location is one of the best. The town of Schroon Lake is minutes away, the views of the lake are amazing, and it’s central to a lot of the things to do in the Adirondacks.
