Located in Michelbach, this upscale villa offers 5 bedrooms and can house 15 people, perfect for a few families travelling together. Thanks to the facilities like a sauna, sandpit and private terrace, the property is ideal for mixed age groups wanting a holiday far away from the city life.

The town centre is just 2 km away with restaurants, nightlife and supermarkets. There is a lake nearby, where you can go swimming or fishing. You can go for bikes rides or walks in the forest, 500 m away.

Enjoy a few lazy naps in the furnished terrace. Barbecue lets you have sizzling meals and conversations till late in the evenings. Parking is on-site. The villa features a wood stove in the living room to keep the indoor warm and cosy. Children’s bed and high chair are available so that the little ones can have a comfortable stay.

Public transport is also available, 300 m away for easy connectivity.

Tolle Unterkunft für Gruppen
Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet und hat eine wunderschönen Blick mit einem tollen Garten. Wir waren mir 10 Personen und Hund dort und jeder hatte genug Platz und auch der Aufenthaltsraum hat ausreichend Platz geboten. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr tolle Umgebung mit netter Vermieterin
Meine Freunde und ich haben zu 9. Urlaub in dieser Unterkunft gemacht und ehrlich gesagt waren wir schon relativ laut. Dennoch hatten wir keine Probleme mit der sehr netten Vermieterin, die über uns gewohnt hat, keine Probleme mit den Nachbarn und keine Probleme mit dem Hund Nemo, der uns gelegentlich besuchen kam. Jeder Tag war ein Genuss, da der Ausblick am Morgen sehr schön ist, und der Sonnenuntergang noch mehr, da man die untergehende Sonne beobachten kann. Der weitläufige Garten hat uns jeden Tag Spaß und Entspannung zugleich bereitet. Es gibt in der Nähe zwar keine großen Städte, aber das bügelt die wunderschöne Umgebung wieder aus. Diese Unterkunft kann ich nur empfehlen.

Familienwoche
Unser Empfang war sehr freundlich und liebevoll. Das Haus ist geräumig und sehr schön gelegen. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. In der nahen Umgebung waren reichlich Freizeitaktivitäten für alle Altersgruppen vorhanden. Ich kann das Haus und die Gegend nur empfehlen.

Wir waren übers Wochenende mit unseren Freunden zu Besuch und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Ausreichend Platz für 10 Erwachsene. Sehr empfehlenswert für größere Gruppen.

Large, comfortable house for extended-family stay
My extended family (7 adults, 4 kids) stayed in the house at Michelbach for a week in October 2018. We found it to be a comfortable house, well equipped, with plenty of room for all, and with common space sufficient for all 11 to gather in the evenings to discuss the day's adventures and dine together. The house had ample beds (no one slept on a fold-out couch, and all 4 households involved had their own room(s)), at least 4 bathrooms, and a compact but well-equipped kitchen (with stove/oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, and ample dishes and cookware). The one missing item was a microwave. The house had off-street parking for 4 vehicles, and outdoor space for relaxation and meditation. The house is part of a small, quiet neighborhood, located on a hillside overlooking the town of Schotten (about 5 minutes drive to Schotten center). Schotten has restaurants, a bakery, butcher, several grocery stores, banks, a nice park, and other amenities. Schotten is about 45 minutes drive to the rail line to Frankfurt, and 90 minutes drive to Frankfurt airport. Just 2 minutes drive from Michelbach is an excellent German restaurant, Gasthaus zum Bilstein, in the village of Busenborn. Also close by, just 10 minutes drive, is the amusement park Sommerrodelbahn Hoherodskopf. This park has an aerial ropes course, an alpine slide, playground, mini-golf, several food options, and hiking, with many scenic views. Our kids spent most of a day at the park and enjoyed it greatly. The ropes course was able to find someone on staff to provide English-language instruction for using the course. American visitors should be aware that Schotten and Michelbach are off the normal tourist track, and as a result, English speakers can be found, but should not be expected in every shop or attraction. Overall: The house met our needs very well, and we would stay there again if traveling with a similarly large party.

Tolles Hause mit großem Garten in schöner Umgebung
Wir haben hier ein Treffen von Uni-Freunden mit Kindern gehabt. Das Haus ist schön groß und gemütlich. Der Garten ist riesig. Auf der Veranda sind diverse Sitzmöglichkeiten. Es gibt eine Feuerstelle. Uns allen hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen und das Management war auch sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gern wieder.
