"Lovely, lovely place. Comfortable bed and great shower in our beautifully decorated room. Two very slight downsides... The creaking of the laminate floor in the room and the full english breakfast could've used another egg, another slice of toast and another hash brown. Those are the most minor of gripes, though, and no way would either stop us returning. Excellent pub food served downstairs from a very extensive menu. Only a 15 minute bus ride into Scarborough centre - bus stop directly outside - where I'd expect to pay more than double for this standard of accommodation."

"The staff at this Motel were very helpful and understanding. Due to the warm weather I needed to open windows however a group were smoking very close by. Staff tried to stop this but did not succeed. After advising I couldn't stay in that room I was relocated with help and excellent customer service. I would just recommend that they have a smoking area away from rooms."

"Easy location to find and convenient. The room was okay but a few black marks on the walls and some small areas of paint/plaster on the walls were missing, although the room was generally clean. Beds were comfortable too. Food there was good, tasty and well priced and they were very conscious and wary of allergens, which was very reassuring. I would stay here again as the location is very convenient for visiting nearby Bempton Cliffs"

"We stayed a couple of yrs before and it was dirty needed decorating carpets etc but gave it another go this time and was pleasantly surprised . Smelt fresh everywhere new decor , carpets our family seaview room was big and lovely . Only thing we could say was windows need cleaning but overall great"

"We had an excellent stay in the hotel right from our arrival staff were able to help and explain about parking etc. We had an absolutely fantastic room 33 with our own outdoor space to enjoy a drink or a coffee / tea in the morning. Large bed was amazing after our day driving and the beautiful roll top bath with plenty of hot water. The restaurant and bar area are friendly spacious with an excellent selection of food options. A fantastic stay we will definitely return to this hotel and have no problem with recommending a stay at this hotel to anyone."

"Room was a little underwhelming for the price - clean enough but very small. Staff though were excellent - friendly and professional. Breakfast was also pretty good though some items had been left under the heat for a while as they were a bit chewy! Overall, not a bad visit but maybe doesn't justify the price compared to other £200+ stays I've had in and around York."

"We had a lovely room on the 3rd floor but it was very hot as a result of the recent high temperatures. This made sleep difficult until the early hours of the morning when the weather cooled. All the staff we encountered were great - very helpful, pleasant and cheerful. Breakfast was standard but absolutely no complaints. It is a very old property but some way of keeping the upper rooms cooler in high summer temperatures would be a major improvement.. perhaps by increasing the roof insulation"
