Room well appointed with ample electrical outlets for charging devices, and strong wifi. Small refrigerator and a kitchen sink were a bonus. Ceiling fan and air conditioning worked well for keeping the room cool. Excellent location, walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the beach. The only negatives: - the check-in process was a little confusing. You need to go to the Smoke Shop on street level to check-in, and then staff will give you an access code for the glass door leading up to the second floor where the rooms are situated. - ambient noise from adjacent rooms, and from the neighbourhood, was apparent at times and hard to tune out. Carmen communicated promptly and didn't mind us checking in an hour or so early. The 8-minute walk to the beach is ok, though it's 15 minutes to get to where there are no rocks or stones underfoot in the sea. Though the place is excellent value for money, it has a rustic quality: the bathroom door doesn't close easily; the toilet is one of those 90s models (common in cheap Mexican hotels) that can't handle toilet paper, so you have to drop it into a bin, and the seat tends to slide off the rim when you're sitting on it; the kitchen patio roof is built too low for anyone who's 6 feet tall (I hit my head several times); and the pool is the smallest I've ever seen, ok for a dip to cool off but nothing more. ##### Andrew Stayed 4 nights in Apr 2025 ### 2/10 Terrible #### Brad Nov 27, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness Disliked: Staff & service, room comfort #### Don’t stay here, it’s not good. If you are looking for a peaceful, comfortable place don’t stay here, the bed is hard as a rock, you are on the busiest street in Sayulita and it is very noisy all night long, the room reminds me of a jail cell with its concrete floor and painted brick walls, the tv never worked, you can hear the people in the next room. This place is perfect if you want a room for a couple hours just to do bad things.
