Poor housekeeping. Towels changed only once a week, room was not cleaned, even though there was a "please make up my room" sign on the door. Very noisy, due to local youth hanging right by the windows till 2 in the morning. Overall, not worth the money spent.

Receptionist was rude and unhelpful. Firstly tried to say that I never had 2 rooms booked, then relented when i showed him booking. Eventually got 2 rooms, though 1 was not what i had booked. Room itself was large and clean

The pictures on Hotels.com looks so much better than the hotel itself. The hotel is situated in some sort of industrial area and looks dodgy. We didn't feel safe walking in the neighborhood when seeking out dinner. We had booked an apartment for 4 but only given 3 towels. The sofa bed is not able to fit 2 pax and hence the kids and mum has to share the double twin bed. Sofa bed is bad quality and i hardly caught any sleep last night. Room floor is carpeted and looks dirty. The fridge is super dirty and i wonder if the cleaner cleans it at all. Very basic set up in the room. Only plus is the size which is big, other than that, nothing great. Other guests were smoking from their balcony. Oh yes, no WIFI from hotel in the 21st century. My fault as well for going for an economy hotel for stopover. Lesson learnt, don't be a cheapo.

Hotel use's a different name at location from that on Hotels.com. Check-in was the worst I've ever had. Ignorant receptionist when arriving. Staff not trained in hotels own policies. Kitchen in a cupboard with only an oven & kettle. No plates, pots or cups. Only stayed 1 night out of 3 planned

Best Hotel evening Staff
It was amazing experience. I really like the evening staff specially guy. He helped us a lot. We didnt have euro but swedish currency. They accepted it Very cheap hotel with best service. 1 minute walk to shopping centre where you can buy & eat food. Free parking on street which is always available. Will stay again in next trip

we've stayed here a number of times as we find it very good value. One gets 2 rooms - one with kitchen facilities. It is very comfortable and clean (apart from some rather shabby seating). It is not central but easy to get to when you have worked it out. There are restaurants not too far away but there is a shopping centre right next door with take-away type meals which you can take to the hotel or eat sitting at tables.

Decent hotel, but request extra pillows!
Decent hotel. The room was pretty big, but it had a weird smell to it - like it used to be a smoking room and they tried to cover the cigerette smell with chemicals. They also only give you one paper-thin pillow per bed; we requested more pillows and they left them on the floor outside our door (I didn't hear anyone knock, but I might have been in the shower). The bed was a little on the hard side, but still comfortable. There is street parking and it wasn't too bad to find a spot. There is also a grocery store right outside so that was really convenient.

Good value hotel
We stay regularly at this hotel and find it very good value as you get a bedroom, a sitting room, a kitchen alcove where you can self-cater in a modest way and a shower room/toilet. To get to restaurants you need to travel a short distance by car. However there is a shopping precinct a short walk away with several choices of take-away food (ideal to take back to the hotel which has table and chairs in the sitting room) or there are some seating areas attached to the take-aways if you want to eat there. Or you can buy your own food in the well-stocked store. Parking on the road is usually not too difficult to find and free. The hotel parking is rather expensive. Access to the city should be relatively easy (though we haven't used it ourselves). There are tram and bus stops nearby.

The price and comfort ratio is amazing. A large, clean room with a big desk to get work done, a seating area, balcony, large shower, kitchenette. Most definitely coming back.

Good hotel
Spacious hotel, close to Kaufland shop (literally next door). The apartment includes 3 separate rooms (hallway/ kitchen, living room and the bedroom) plus the bathroom. The kitchenette is kind of funny looking as it is build in a cupboard but it does the job very well. The whole apartment is big, old style but clean and very pleasant. Even though, there is a private car park the cars can be park outside of the hotel for free. I had no problem with finding the space. The reception ladies were very professional and helpful. My husband and I enjoyed the whole stay.

Friendly and helpful
Very pleasant stay, very large apartment and organised, overall very satisfied. Just a few comments I'd like to add, first the drain/bathroom /bath smells quite a bit with an unpleasant smell. Secondly the housekeeping team is quite loud during the morning in the corridor, not taking in consideration there are people not checking out, a few times we had our door banged loudly with their trolley while we were still asleep, not a nice way to wake up. But overall we are very pleased and would stay there again. Receptionists very helpful and most importantly to me specifically when staying in East Germany, friendly staff.

Really good value for money!
This is one of the best hotels we stay at for good value, comfort and convenience. We visit several times a year and can't really find any faults. It has two large rooms a separate adequate bathroom and a small cooking area if required. There are not many restaurants within walking area but there is a shopping complex, minutes away with a choice of eating places with seating areas, or one can take food back to your rooms if you wish.

Nice, clean, friendly staff . The only problem was no bar for drinks and location, 25 mins from city centre, although the tram sarvice was good you could reach anywhere with a couple of tram rides about €20 for a taxi to centre but good value cheap and cheerful.

No wifi and filthy room...
Well, this one was our second time we stayed in this hotel, first time it was room 310, which was even better than we expected for this price, clean and tidy, but no wifi as their router was down. Room 315 we got on our way back from the East was terrible, same floor BUT: stains over all upholstery and carpets, we had to cover our sofa with sheets and blankets we did not use to cover all stains to protect our kids, where was also a crack on sink, which is not kinda safe. And where is no wifi on this floor as I mentioned previously, only near the lifts spot where the main router is mounted, and it seems that nobody cares about this as we reported the issue with wifi a month ago.

Kinda still feels like the DDR
For the most part, the stay at the Novum was fine. It is in a quiet neighborhood, and their is a supermarket within the building. It is fairly easy to get to, via the S3 tram from the Leipzig HBF. The hotel provides cooking utensils, for a $15 deposit. The biggest problem I had was the extremely weak WiFi they provide. You have to log-on every 12 hours, with a new code, and the signal constantly gets lost once you are logged-on. The interior of the room still has the old East German feel to it and I had a small single bed. The room has plenty of space for a queen or full. The other discrepancies I had were the false amenities that the hotel claimed to provide, such as a sauna. I was told that it was currently being repaired. With my problem with the WiFi, I feel it is an easy company line towards guests to say it's broken. There is also a claim that a fitness center is available. The fitness center that they provide is approximately 3 blocks away, and costs around 9Euros/day.

On the outskirts of Leipzig. There is a tram to centre. I rode bike through the parks. No aircon but large room (20m2 +) with basic kitchenette (hot plates,sink,fridge). Best value I had in Germany. Good supermarket and other shops next door.

Leider sind die Erwartungen die man aufgrund der Bilder auf der Website hatte nicht eingetroffen. Wir haben uns überhaupt nicht wohl gefühlt. Es war ziemlich schmutzig, Frühstück konnte man dann doch nicht dazubuchen, weil es nicht mehr angeboten wird… wir waren sehr enttäuscht. Eher eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit für Handwerker oder ähnliches…

Das ist mit Abstand das schlechteste Hotel, indem ich jemals war. Das Personal ist uninteressiert, man bekommt widerwillig Informationen und man fühlt sich nicht willkommen. Die Zimmer sind ungemütlich, wirken sehr unfreundlich und es stinkt im Badezimmer aus dem Abluss. Es wurde nie saubergemacht und ich musste mir frische Handtücher selbst organisieren. Eigentlich ist das Hotel eine Frechheit.

Guten Tag Andrea, Es tut uns Leid das ihr Aufenthalt nicht wie gewünscht verlief. Sie bekommen aber jederzeit von unseren Mitarbeitern Informationen wenn sie danach fragen. Sie hatten eine Stay Rate gebucht, diese besagt das ihr Zimmer den ganzen Aufenthalt nicht gereinigt wird. Nur ihr Mülleimer wird zum gebuchten Zeitraum geleert. Sie hätten uns bei dem Gespräch auch mitteilen können das der Abfluss übel riecht. Unser Haustechniker wäre dem Problem gerne nachgekommen. Había un olor a rastro si abrías la ventana. Al salir por la puerta trasera había muchísimas colillas de cigarros que aventaban de arriba. Pero buen servicio, limpieza, detalles.
