(excludes holiday weeks) The Washington Square Carriage House is a free standing apartment built over our garage, with a private entrance on the lane/alley. It is located behind The Washington Square Main House and guests share the center/private courtyard & garage. During the horse-and-buggy days, Savannah’s carriage houses were the sleeping quarters of the family's carriage drivers. The drivers were responsible for the care of the horses & the carriages housed in what we now use as auto-garages. This painstakingly restored & converted carriage house offers one highly coveted garage parking space and is located in Savannah’s Landmark Historic District on picturesque Washington Square. This home is only 2 blocks from Historic River Street & the Savannah River. The apartment is located on the 2nd floor over the garage so there is a flight of stairs leading up to the home. The carriage house has an open living room and kitchen with island seating for 4\. The fully outfitted kitchen is equipped with all the essentials to whip up a meal. Each of the 2 bedrooms have en suite bathrooms & queen size beds. The walled courtyard offers a quite oasis to sip a cocktail and chat with guests from the main house. NOTES \*Minimum age to reserve is 25 years of age, no exceptions! \*MAXIMUM OCCUPANY is 4 people at any/all times, including children/infants. \*NOISE: This property is NOT PARTY friendly. We do not allow loud noise, loud music, public drunkenness, or parties of any sort. NO BACHELORETTE/BACHELOR GROUPS! NO PARTIES OR EVENTS! This is a family oriented neighborhood with year-round tenants. Violators may be evicted and/or fined. We walked everywhere and its location worked wonderfully. The only issue was the garage door is loud and the group staying in the main house left early and woke us. Requested verification if 3/4 ton truck was good. Suzanne quickly replied, but I was told to recheck listing as small tight alley, and was not going to measure garage. Nothing in list about any of that. Truck fit - alley good ! Small but had what was needed. Plenty of supplies. And close to so much, Pirates Cove, trolley, River Walk. Courtyard was a nice extra. 19 steps to get in but NOT steep. Very easy climb. Charming ! Would stay again. Great rate with seasonal reduction. ##### Karen R. We were there for a Girls Weekend. Four of us comfortably shared this perfectly appointed upstairs "apartment." The kitchen had all the features we needed and the host equipped our party with a bag of ice and a pitcher of filtered water for our morning coffee along with 2 packs of coffee. We were incredibly pleased with the location. The Shopping on Broughton Street was only 2 blocks away - an easy stroll back to unload all the goodies we purchased in the boutiques. This spot is also just a short stroll to River Street where you will find all the "must see and do" tours, bars, shops and restaurants. Having a spot in the garage made me feel especially relaxed because I knew my car was safe. I plan to return to Savannah with my little family of 3 next Spring and I know that I will try to book this home for our trip. ##### Rick and Donna S. S.
