This third floor apartment offers a unique accommodations for up to four Lucky guests. You’ll wake up every morning to beautiful Jones Street, where cobblestones and ancient oak trees dripping in Spanish moss compelled Southern Living Magazine to name it the “Prettiest Street in America.” The original hardwood floors and 12’ ceilings will give you a sense of stepping back in time, while the tasteful interior decor and modern amenities provide all the luxuries of staying at hotel - with more room. The large living room has plenty of space and comfortable seating. The galley kitchen opens to the dining room. You’ll find everything you need to cook a full meal, or just enjoy a cup of coffee while you plan your day. The bedroom offers a king sized, four poster bed, and the dresser and closet provide plenty of space. The ensuite bath has a tub/shower combo, vanity with sink and a separate vanity ideal for getting ready for a night out. Wilkes Three is an ideal location to call home while exploring the Historic District. Located in the middle of our bustling Design District, stylish shops dot the streets among several historic homes open for touring, including the Mercer Williams House and the childhood home of Flannery O’Connor. There was no instructions on where to put the linens, where the carriage house was for the trash, and what to set the thermostat to. There was food under the couch and a tack on the rug. The refrigerator handles were dirty as well as the lid to the trash can. I’ve stayed at several vbro’s with a long list of to dos. It is really helpful. It is right on Jones St. walking distance to Forsyth Park, good cafes and restaurants and all my nostalgia places I wanted to show my parents around. The place was as described. Really well refurbished to keep the vintage aesthetic. The check-in and check-out was smooth. We had enough linens and towels for all. Parents took lots of pictures around the place! The location was probably one of the prettiest streets in Savannah and very close to everything we wanted to see. The apartment itself was beautiful and clean and the hosts were so responsive and easy to contact when we did run into a couple very minor issues. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay in Savannah, a city full of history and character with its own soul. And this appartement, in the heart of the historic district was perfectly in sync with the overall city atmosphere, as we had the impression to live as real Savannah inhabitants. The appartement, pretty huge, has plenty of charm, decorated and furnished with taste in all rooms including bathroom and kitchen. The voucher to access Mrs Wicles restaurant, located in the basement was a real plus to cut the impressive queue forming every day at lunchtime. We really experienced and enjoyed here the delicious simple and true Southern cooking as well as the warm sense of hospitality. Despite the WiFi connection not always very stable, all was perfect.
