This spacious one bedroom getaway is perfect for a couple looking to explore the rich history of Savannah, or a traveling single. Stepping inside you'll be pleasantly surprised by the tall ceilings and the gorgeous oak flooring carried throughout. The living room offers a plush sofa, arm chair and flat screen television, perfect for those who have their own Netflix or Hulu accounts! Adjacent to the living room, a dedicated dining space to enjoy home-cooked meals, or catch up on work while away. Down the hall, guests will find the spacious and open kitchen that offers granite countertops, plenty of prep space and a full size washer/dryer thats tucked away. At the back of the home just outside of the bedroom, a roomy bathroom with vanity and shower/tub combination. The bedroom offers a comfortable king size bed, hotel grade linens and a television atop of the dresser. This landmark home built for Noble Hardee in 1861 is perfectly situated to explore Savannah’s historic district. This fully renovated cottage has everything you’ll need to enjoy your getaway. The Honey Bee Cottage is in an excellent location-a short walk to Troup Square, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and historic Jones Street, voted one of the prettiest streets in the United States! A short drive or walk puts you on either Broughton Street or River Street where shopping and dining abound-it truly is the ideal location from which to explore Savannah. What is parking like for this home? This unit has free, on-street parking right outside the front door. Availability will depend on time of day and season. Sleeping Configuration: 1 King Size Bed We can welcome your dog companions at this pet friendly home, but ask that you find other arrangements for cats, birds, and other furry friends. We enjoyed walking to so many places. The only time we had to drive was when we wanted to visit the islands. The minor issues we had overall include: The shower was dimly lit. The bedroom windows (and all of the windows) could benefit from blinds. There was a streetlight shining into the bedroom. I rated the cleanliness at a 4 because it was mostly fine but the floors had dust and dead bugs in places as if maybe the cleaners rushed while cleaning the floors maybe. But all the surfaces were nice and clean! A small stock pile of spices would have been a great addition also. With a full kitchen, we made a few meals but didn’t have any seasoning.
