Forsyth Park - the city’s iconic 22-acre green space with its famous fountain, café, arboretum, and frequent events - is just four blocks east. Walk down Park Avenue to the south end of the park to visit local favorites like Sentient Bean Coffeehouse, Brighter Day Natural Foods, Betty Bombers, and the American Legion Bar. Nearby, you’ll also find Local 11Ten, one of Savannah’s most highly regarded restaurants, along with the Mansion on Forsyth Park Hotel, home to piano lounges, 700 Drayton Restaurant, and an art gallery. Within walking distance of Josephine’s Carriage House, Rumrunner’s Bakery (two blocks north on Montgomery Street) offers breakfast and lunch for dine-in or takeout. Only complaint was the hot water and oven; water in the shower would get lukewarm and the oven would never heat up. We had everything we needed for a short stay. Inside the property was clean, but outside there was a lot of trash in the street. Inside was very clean and inviting - the front step up was cute and very handy. Chuck was helpful in answering questions about regarding the property and payment process.
