This eclectic lofted cottage is situated off of a quiet residential street in the Historic District. Perfect for short or extended stays, Magnolia Cottage has it all! Enter your property via electronic lock, and forget the hassle of carrying keys! Your new home away from home may appear quaint from the outside, but stepping inside you'll be in for a surprise. The tall ceilings make this cozy getaway, feel large and airy. The living space features a sofa, a flatscreen television in a large armoire, and vibrant artwork. Adjacent, you'll find the dining space perfect for a home cooked meal. The shelves are stacked with books galore! Grab a read, and head out to the patio which is covered by large trees and ivy - A serene reading scene. The kitchen is situated toward the back of the home, and offers all of the modern amenities one could ask for. The cabinets are stocked with all of the cookware essentials to make your favorite meals. Just down the way, you'll find a local grocery store to grab your spices and more! Just a few steps away, guests can find the unique and spacious bathroom that features a shower and tub/combination. Heading upstairs to the loft, the king size bed awaits and is open to the rest of the home below. Head West and dine at some of the city's best restaurants, like 700 Drayton, Fox & Fig, and Hitch. Due North toward River Street, guests can shop til they drop inside various local retailers, like The Paris Market & Brocante, 24e, and shopSCAD to name a few. Guests are about a 15-20 minute walk to the River front, 10-15 to City Market, and a quick 8 minute walk to Forsyth Park. What is parking like for this home? Parking is on-street and non-metered, which is a first come first serve basis. Typically, guests do not have trouble finding parking in this part of town. Guests are encouraged to keep note of the posted Sweep Zone signs. Sleeping Configuration: Loft: King Size Bed We can welcome your dog companions at this pet friendly home, but ask that you find other arrangements for cats, birds, and other furry friends. Unfortunately, this particular property fell short of our expectations.On the positive side, the location was excellent—perfect for walking and with convenient access to free on-street parking. The home was also very spacious, and we truly appreciated the owner's flexibility in accommodating our dog.However, we did encounter several issues that affected our experience. Most notably, we had a persistent problem with cockroaches (palmetto bugs). Although property management said they would send someone to address it, no one ever came, leaving us to deal with the issue throughout our stay.Outdoor space is important to us, as we enjoy relaxing outside at the start and end of the day. Unfortunately, this area was so neglected that we didn’t feel comfortable using it. The loft bedroom also presented safety concerns—the dark brown steps, despite lighting, made it difficult to see clearly, and both of us missed the last step at some point.Additionally, the AC did not adequately cool the loft, the ceiling fan was nonfunctional, and we were grateful a box fan was provided. Some of the kitchen items were quite worn and could be easily and inexpensively replaced to enhance the overall experience.We’re sharing this feedback in the spirit of improvement. We love Savannah and want every visitor to enjoy their stay here. Small details truly do make a big difference. ##### Jeanette D. The steps up to the loft and railings definitely need to be updated. That is a major accident waiting to happen. The railing is loose on the side closest to the bed and the one near the bed itself should be taller, someone could easily trip and fall down to the main level. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had I realised St Patrick’s day is a thing here we would not have come. The rental was nice but not really worth £900 for 3 days. We had no choice but to pay the market rate. We found a few cockroaches and some of our lights were not working. We did report the lights but weren’t prepared to wait for someone to repair them. We did wonder why they had so many “night lights” plugged in. We know that maintenance were there earlier in the afternoon so not sure why they didn’t notice the lights didn’t work. No instructions for the oven which was confusing for someone that has never seen such a thing. The customer service team were very responsive and helpful. ##### Beverley L. The home has everything you need to make the stay very comfortable. The proterty managers were very responsive. The home also has a wonderful collection of books.
