Charming Downtown Carriage, Steps from Forsyth Fountain by Lucky Savannah

Surround yourself with historical furnishings but with the modern amenities you expect on vacation in this spacious, one-bedroom carriage. Resting behind a grand Forsyth Park estate, up to four guests can get a taste for high life in the South.

A set of steps lead you to this second-level carriage house, situated just one block from the famous Fountain at Forsyth Park. The living room allows for ample seating as you regale on the day's adventures. The living room sofa can pull out into a Queen sleeper to accommodate an additional two guests.

The kitchen is well-equipped with every essential you'd need for a quick bite or cup of coffee. Enjoy a slow morning at the breakfast nook before setting off to see Savannah's many wonders. The bedroom is just down the hall, with a Queen size bed and beautiful views of the city. En suite to the bedroom is a full bath with standing shower, all recently renovated with marble tile.

Guests will love being part of the Forsyth community; steps from everything the park has to offer while only being a short walk away from attractions further North towards the river.

What is parking like for this home?
Parking for this home is on-street and metered, which is enforced by the City of Savannah from Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Guests may conveniently pay using the ParkSavannah app, feed the meter or parking kiosks directly, or park on a nearby non-metered street. Please take note of posted Sweep Zone signs when parking on the street.

We truly enjoyed our visit and would stay again. Pros:Close to Forsyth park so great for daily life with a dog. Comfortable bed!The area felt safeWe loved the old carriage house vibe. Cons:Drafty windows, an issue because it was cold for Savannah. Not notable when it was typical winter weather.Lights outside the windows all night. There are very nice blinds, but they do not completely block the light. We did get used to it!

Cute and cozy

My husband and I stayed the weekend for our 10th anniversary. The house was perfect for us. Everything was provided as promised in the listing and the location is absolutely perfect. You do have road noise, so I just turned on some white noise to sleep. Very close to Forsyth Park and so walkable. We even walked back in the evening from the riverfront - maybe a 30 minute walk, but very scenic and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again!!

OUTSTANDING, BEST LOCATION AND QUIET

Glorious! Quiet and best location to all of Savanah. Huge 1 bedroom, tastefully decorated and bed super comfy with high thread count sheets. Gorgeous bathroom freshly renovated, better than my own at home. A/C very powerful even though we only used once during the day. Big bang for the buck! Highly recommend. Best VRBO I have ever stayed in.

Nice little place, great location

Great little place for 3 day stay in Savannah. It is older of course but with charm. Used parking garage on Liberty but had no problem unloading our luggage on backside of the property. Would have been nice to have TV in bedroom but not a big deal. Would stay again.

Nice location within walking distance for most everything. Furnishing ie: rugs, furniture , lighting inadequate. Seemed like most of it disfiunctional and was hastily purchased at consignment. There’s a line btwn antiques and yard sale quality. No dishwasher, extremely limited counter space. Kitchen supplies were good and mattress comfy as well as shower..

This place is just ok. The decor and furniture all need to be updated I feel it was nothing like the pictures they displayed. It was not what I expected. The location was great that’s about the only thing that this place has going for it.

We were only in Savannah for a few days on our way to the Florida Keys and this was such a wonderful little place!! The location was amazing and the walkable to everything!!! I highly recommend this spot!!!

Pretty nice place

We loved the location and the apartment was really cute and had everything we needed... including lots of dog/cat hair and mess under the couch. Yes it was a nice place, but my allergies went crazy because of all the pet dander. We kept seeing stuff under the couch. When we actually got down on the floor and looked, there was so much dust, pet hair, and PILLS! No clue what the pills were as we did NOT move them. I think whoever they have to clean the property needs to be talked to. Other than feeling sick with my allergies, we had a good weekend!

Charming and great location!

We really enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect for us. We walked almost everywhere and loved the neighborhood shops and restaurants. Great access to the park and squares. It is a walk up a good staircase to access the unit. It is VERY noisy and VERY bright. Wish the unit had room darkening blinds or panels. The street noise is a lot during the night, and if people are walking by, you can hear every word of their conversation. Overall, it was a great place to stay!

Mini getaway

The house is charming. It's the perfect size for two. The living room could use a little sprucing up. The sofa is a pullout, so it isn't very comfortable to sit on and watch TV and the pillows were dingy. The bedding was clean except for the covers on the shams. The bathroom was very clean and well stocked with towels and toilet paper. The location of the house was fine. I felt safe. The only tricky part was parking, but we found a spot to park for free and only had to move it once for the city sweeper. Nights were very noicy, but I don't think that could have been avoided. There were sirens, garbage trucks, sweeper trucks and loud pedestrians that sounded like they were right outside the window, even though the unit is up a flight of stairs.

Great Location but....

The location is perfect. However, It is located on a very busy and noisy street. The street lights and lights from adjoining properties shine very brightly into every room making it difficult to sleep. the Wifi does not work at all. I was kicked off my zoom call 3 times and had to resort to using my cell service.

Great historic carriage house!

Perfect location to everything in the historic district! Carriage house is a perfect mix of old and new! We had no trouble finding a free parking spot near the carriage house! We stayed a week and enjoyed every minute of it! Owner was very accommodating! Would stay there again!

Great location!

This carriage house was very charming. The location was perfect for our family. Very close to Forsythe Park! The carriage house listing was accurate. There was plenty of room for our family of three. It was clean and the bathroom was nice. I loved the character of this place; old wooden floors, original kitchen cabinets, the decor. Parking was on the street and we seemed to be able to park with no hassle. I would stay here again!

This is a great little spot to stay for a weekend. The location is perfect just a few steps from Forsyth Park and within walking distance to many of best shops and restaurants downtown.

Overall, the stay was nice. Pros: Neighborhood is in a safe and walkable location, pet driendcute historic building with character, property management was friendly and great, and check in process was very easy. Cons: wifi was borderline unusable and some areas of the apartment (like the pantry, basket in kitchen) were not clean although the main areas were very clean. Not deal breakers as these are easy things to fix. Overall good experience.
