You are quite literally in the middle of everything Savannah has to offer - Downtown is only about 15-minutes by car, the beach is just 20 - 25 minutes depending on traffic, and Thunderbolt itself has a lot to offer in the form of great food, walks, and relaxation. Don't hesitate to book this home and turn it into your Savannah travel hub! The Space: Welcome to your very own Savannah Bungalow. This adorable home has been renovated and decorated with calming comfort in mind. Kickback and decompress or simply use it as a hub to enjoy everything Savannah and Tybee Island have to offer! Try Finches for breakfast or lunch, Tubbys for happy hour, Tortugas for brunch, and Lowcountry for dinner. \*Walk along River Drive and check out the historic shrimp boats \*Historic Bonaventure Cemetery is 1.5 mile away with a 1.5 mile perimeter trail \*Set up a farm bag with Vertu Farms located at the historic Roberd's Dairy 2 miles away and check out their farmer's market on Tu & Fri Getting Around: The property is conveniently located halfway between Tybee Island’s beaches (15-min) and Downtown Savannah (10-min). You can easily Uber/Lyft to either side if you're not interested in driving around - but you will definitely need transportation to get around between those places as the roadways are not walkable due to the lack of sidewalks. You can certainly go for a morning stroll on the in the Town of Thunderbolt, where the property is located, here as they are mostly quiet during the day and do have sidewalks. There is a very nice Publix grocery store approximately six minutes from the house. In the event of an emergency, you can go to Urgent Care 24/7 in Whitemarsh (6-minute drive). The Chatham County Police Precinct is approximately 2.5-miles. And the closest fire emergency station is 1.5-miles away. Other Things to Note: This home is perfectly situated between Downtown Savannah and Tybee Island (beach), so your stay here will place you in the best location to explore both areas of Savannah. The best part is that you can explore the city, or the beach, then retreat to a quiet and quaint neighborhood in a less-traveled part of town. We ask that the space, other guests, and our neighbors are treated with dignity and respect. Please respect the home and its rules. This will help us maintain peace and ensure that all of our guests have a wonderful Savannah Stay! Interaction with Guests: We will be available for you as much or as little as you want us to be. We live close, so we are quick to respond over the phone or in person as necessary. We stayed here with friends to go see the Savannah Bananas and it was such a convenient location--located just a short drive from Grayson Stadium, Historic Downtown Savannah, and everything we wanted to do! Convenient location, not very far from the Thunderbolt Bridge. It’s a short walk to the water where you can sit on benches and watch the boats go in and out. The property is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. It’s minutes away from a convenience store and Tubby’s on Thunderbolt Restaurant. The house itself has a private backyard and gated side yard which we took part in relaxing in both locations. Our favorite spot was the screened in back porch. This place was ideal for my husband and I and my mom. Beautifully decorated and equipped with most of what you’d need for a few days stay. We did order groceries via DoorDash from Food Lion with no issues as well. ##### April K. Given that VRBO gave us primarily all the wrong info, it caused a SIGNIFICANT delay in check out and check out time considering we were given the wrong address and had Multiple visitors in Multiple vehicles. All our plans and reservations were based off the address VRBO gave us and caused such a headache. We had to suffer long waiting periods bc we did not have reservations for the correct location. We were even given the wrong check in and check out times which caused panick specifically at check out. This was supposed to be a surprise birthday get away and her significant other planned to propose.
