Only 3.8 miles from Helen’s city center, Huckleberry cabin is perched on the knee of the famous Yonah Mountain. Just off the Helen Highway, Sweeping breezes and rustling trees will escort you through our private electric gate for the ÂŒ mile jaunt up the gravel road to our secluded cabin. Easy and private access for all cars. No 4x4 required! Spacious two levels of parking leave lots of room for corn hole and outside activities. Wonderful stone steps and tiers were excavated onsite to provide a great outdoor space to enjoy. Just below the cabin, you will find our real live huckleberry field with tasty treats blooming each year! Inside the cabin, you will be immediately impressed with our crisp, clean rooms and new finishes. We make our home as upscale as possible for your enjoyment. From modern entertainment devices to comfy furniture and cozy throws. We take pride in our home and you will notice the difference from a commercially-run property. Tempur-pedic mattresses, 800 thread count linens, allergy-free pillows are in place for your stay. You are sure to wake to feel refreshed and invigorated to get out there and enjoy your vacation! The bedrooms are configured across three levels with the upper loft offering a king-size bed and full ensuite bath. The main level encompasses the kitchen, dining room, living room, hall full bathroom with shower and the second bedroom also with a king-size bed. Finally, the terrace level is open with a queen-size bed and a separate laundry room with half bath. This level provides walkout access to the fire pit, gravel tier, and the huckleberry field. The Kitchen is very well equipped for your stay. My wife is a chef so she really enjoys preparing our cabin for culinary guests. Whip up some brownies from scratch or just place up the s’mores for the fire pit! Modern appliances and place setting for six, our dining table will hold four guests comfortably so pull up a seat on the porch table and have some wine with the view! Use the quiet dishwasher and enjoy easy ice in the freezer. No trays! New! 3 person top of the line Hot Spring Jetsetter spa!  If you want to make your getaway a real getaway then you have to pick a place to really, actually get away from the crowds! Staying in a stuffy hotel room is for the birds. Take in our surrounding 1.5 acres of wilderness while you enjoy the comforts of a home. 🐕 If you are traveling with a pet: We do allow one DOG under 40lbs if you disclose that they will be coming with you to the cabin. Our Pet fee is $65 for your entire stay. We provide a crate/kennel for you to use when you are leaving the cabin. PLEASE do not leave your pet loose in our home while you are out! NO CATS allowed as we are allergic. Have a registered service animal? Please submit your registration card. YES, We have a coffee maker in our fully equipped kitchen for you! With its rare baled face, Yonah provides world-renowned rock wall climbing with no fee for expert climbers. Heck, the US Army uses this mountain to train their Rangers for rock repelling, rope, and free climbing. There is a public trail from the base that you could hike up the entire mountain by foot. If you stay here at Huckleberry cabin, you will be on the only private road access to the top! We loved spending our first night relaxing by the fire pit, which set the perfect tone for our stay. On our second day, the rain gave us a great excuse to stay in, watch movies, and unwind in the hot tub—pure relaxation. After exploring Helen and nearby parks, it was wonderful to come back and enjoy a delicious dinner using the well-provided amenities. The furniture and decor are super cute, and the sofa and chair are some of the most comfortable things we've ever sat in (and I sell furniture, so that says something lol). The balcony is spacious and it's where I spent most of my time. I'm a smoker, so I very much appreciated the fact that I was allowed to smoke there. Lots of properties do not allow this. The kitchen was spacious and there were many seasonings available, which is also unusual, and was much appreciated. Lots of towels were provided, and also enough toilet paper to make it through the whole week. The location is perfect. It's quiet and secluded, but you can be in Helen within 10 minutes if you want some action and some great German food. I accidentally forgot my Kindle and charger, but the host is nice enough to arrange for someone to mail it to me. We had an amazing, relaxing time and will definitely be back. Kitchen: sink & fridge clean. Under sink dirty, trash can layered with dirt, Oven dirty. Bathrooms clean and linen very good. Linens and bedcovers were good quality Dishes had a lot of chips in them, very few side plates. There was no dish soap so used liquid hand soap to wash the dishes.Wi-Fi excellent.Cleaning company is letting the owners down. The cold air return was full of dust and dirt. Area behind the TV dusty as well. upper sills on windows all dusty. We found the vacuum and cleaned out the cold air return, for our health and comfort. Oven had debris caked on the bottom. We reached out to the owner when we arrived and explained a few details but got a generic response. The toasters operation was erratic only one side worked. During our stay the TV sound bar stopped working. The first step leading to the front porch sagged badly and had nails protruding, leaving a possible safety hazard. The owner was notified immediately shortly after we arrived. Nothing was done during our stay to remedy these items.The table outside on the deck needs some work as the plywood on the top is bubbling and slivering. The rocking chairs are dirty and require sanding and repainting.The property has a wonderful view off the back deck, however it is starting to show its age. A little attention to detail and some TLC could move this property from good to great. We were just wondering when the last time that the owner was at the property. ##### Judith S. Just a few minutes from Cleveland for groceries or coffee and a few minutes from Helen. Nice view from the porch and deer were walking through the property daily. Quiet area. Everything we needed as far as kitchen ware and bathroom supplies was there. Furniture was clean and all beds were comfortable. Hot tub was clean and working.Owner responded within minutes to an issue with the tv. Reason for 4 stars not 5 is that the outside property (driveways, fire pits, porches) could use a bit more attention and cleaning before guests arrive. ##### Casey R. There were only the two of us, and we only stayed on the main floor. We never touched the upstairs bedroom or bath, nor the downstairs bedroom and partial bath down there. They only had to clean the main floor. We also cleaned the kitchen and all dishes, as you requested, so they really didn't have to do anything there. Other than that, the place was so much like the cabin up there we owned for 12 years that we just loved. You definitely have a better view than we did (ours was mostly woods), but we were also in a real small neighborhood like yours. You furnished the place really well! It could use two new pillows for the couch -- those are very worn -- Lol. But kitchen was furnished great. Just needed a platter to put charcuterie on. I used a cutting board and it worked.
