A Spectacular 50 Mile View of the Hudson Valley in all seasons

Since the pandemic we have on line reservation and new contactless entry
We are perched on a cliff above a wonderful waterfall. Watch the magnificent sunrise and sunset as you sit in your private quiet screened in porch . You can see for 50 miles from every room. Enjoy the seasons changing and romantic eat meals in paradise. The apartment is very private with it's own parking entrance and porch. Cook in the fully equipped kitchen overlooking the view. Enjoy a drink and watch the sunset,listen to the waterfall ,watch cable TV, read a book or keep in touch with our wireless Internet access.

Drive in one direction 7 minutes to Woodstock N.Y. and eat in our five star rated restaurants, shop in clothing boutiques, hesr music especially Sunday drum circle on the famous Village Green , see shows in our theater or music venues or visit the famous art galleries. Drive in the other direction to Saugerties, the site of the second Woodstock Festival and visit the lovely antique shops ,movie theater ,take a peck at the fashionable boutiques or just take in the scenery.

If sports are your inclination go hiking in the Catskills right outside our door, bike ride, jog, kayak on the Creeks or Hudson River. Ski at Hunter, Windham or Belleayre Mountains. Or maybe you just want to stroll on our beautiful country roads.
We are in the center of everything while enjoying the quiet country air sights and smells.

Clean and perfect for a couple. Well maintained and provisioned. Yard/view is overgrown and view is obscured mostly by trees since the dwelling is ground level. But overall a pleasant stay in a quiet treed area. Would do again

Lovely place

My husband and I stayed at Big Sky in May 2025. It is a nice little apartment with a great view from the screened porch. So close to the town of Woodstock and other attractions in the area. Very quiet and peaceful. We plan on returning in the fall!

Great Getaway

A beautiful and comfortable spot!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this private and cozy apartment! It was well-appointed with everything we needed. We enjoyed the screened-in porch and made good use of the fully equipped kitchen. The bed was super comfortable, with plenty of blankets and pillows. We loved the location, too! We were close to the town-centers of Woodstock and Saugerties, each with a great variety of restaurants and shops. We were also close to some gorgeous hiking trails. Myra and Jerry were lovely and checking in and out was a breeze! We highly recommend this apartment to couples looking for a serene get-away in the Catskill Mountains.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

I rented Big Sky for the weekend to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. This place was everything I could have asked for and more. Myra and Jerry were very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. The place itself was very charming and the views were as incredible as they described. It was an overall awesome experience, and I’m very thankful we rented Big Sky!

We decided to do a golf outing for 2 days and stayed in the area at Big Sky. We frequented the Palenville area. We ate at Griffin House. Highly recommend. Also, Log Cabin Cafe in Purling for breakfast was great. We visited Main Street area of Saugerties the last night. Wished we investigated it more. A very nice stay.

Great spot for a get-away

My family of 4 stayed here in August of 2023. It was a pleasant stay, and the furnishings were perfect for my small family. Everything was clean and tidy upon arrival, the screen porch was nice to unwind on after a long day of sightseeing, and the views are breathtaking. Highly recommended, we'll be back!

Peaceful getaway

We were in the area for an art show and wanted to stay near Woodstock. This place was a peaceful spot in a great location for us. Enjoyed morning coffee in the screened in porch listening to the birds. Everything was clean and well kept.

Saugerties Sojourn

Very nice accommodation; just as described. Quiet, secluded, private, lots of room and great views. We had everything we needed. Our hosts, Myra and Jerry, greeted us upon our arrival, and they provided lots of information about the area. We went to the laundromat in Woodstock. It was a nice, clean facility with rapid-speed machines.

Perfect spot for serenity and nature!

Myra and Jerry were excellent hosts. Supportive, but also gave us all the privacy we were hoping for. Their home and Saugerties/the general area is perfect for slowing down, getting some fresh air and taking in the beauty of Mother Nature. We highly recommend checking out Kaaterskill Falls and Selena’s Diner! And we hope to be back for the views again someday :)

Beautiful view!

We came to the Catskills for a family reunion and needed a place to stay. Myra‘s place was so much better than a hotel. It was clean, comfortable and had a great kitchen. The bonus was the screened in porch and the view, of course. Our favorite part was morning coffee on the porch. Myra and Jerry were a great hosts and provided us all the information we needed. The place is close to hiking in Woodstock and Kingston. We visited both towns and enjoyed them. Myra even took the time to mail my computer to me which I accidentally left behind! Nothing better than good people and a comfortable space to rest your head.
