The home remains less than 15 feet from the water’s edge and its iconic, A-shaped roof remains its most recognizable feature. As A-frames are known for their interior abundance of natural light, this home’s entire waterfront has become a wall of windows with expansive, unrivaled view of the water and downtown Saugatuck. Plus, the interior of the home has been expanded to include bedrooms, lofts, and luxury modern home amenities like a rooftop deck veranda. During holidays, the panoramic firework views are unparalleled. A unique property requires a spectacular location, which is why The A-Frame of Saugatuck is positioned directly across the lake from downtown Saugatuck. Yet, it doesn’t only have the most spectacular views of the entire downtown, the A-frame is a short walk away from Saugatuck’s famous public Chain Ferry, which shuttles our guests downtown, no driving or parking necessary. The A-Frame of Saugatuck provides a rare combination of Saugatuck Harbor and private dock, downtown restaurants and dune hiking at Mount Baldhead, access to Lake Michigan and a harbor full of boats, music, and amazing views. Like we said, spectacular. A-Frames are known for cozy interiors, but also a lack of square footage – not so at this expertly renovated and expanded home. In keeping with the historic nature of the house, the open floor plan of the main room is a nautical dream and includes two bedrooms, full bath, and kitchen, while the second floor has been expanded to include a second-story veranda, bedroom, full bath, and a loft-style living area. The third floor loft, accessible by ladder, is simply an added bonus. The perfect place to nap, read, and take in the views. Outside, a natural gas grill is accompanied by outdoor seating, a firetable, and jacuzzi. The bathrooms were modern and luxurious, and the beds were incredibly comfortable — we all slept like babies! The whole place had a welcoming, cozy feel, which made it hard to leave. we really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit on to take the chill off the evenings.Erica was fantastic to work with — she answered all of our questions quickly and was so helpful throughout our stay. A fantastic location enjoyed by my 20 year olds as they could walk or drive to many enjoyable locations over our 5 day stay. Excellent communication with our host as we had some boaters coming by and needed info about the dock, among other questions to ensure our quiet gathering would be appropriate. Every detail was high-end, from the incredibly comfortable beds to the fully equipped kitchen that had everything we could possibly need for cooking. The home was spotless and featured fantastic amenities, including a luxurious hot tub, a gas grill perfect for outdoor meals, and a cozy gas fire table for relaxing evenings.The location is unbeatable-just steps from the water, offering breathtaking views that made every moment magical. There was plenty of parking available, which made coming and going a breeze. We loved fishing off the pier, catching both bass and pike.This place truly combines luxury and comfort, with stunning waterfront views that create the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. ##### Celeste M. Our host was very responsive and open to requests. She had some great local coffee stocked when I inquired about it. The local bottle of red wine was another great touch. The photos of the property are very accurate but you can't truly appreciate how close to the water you are until you are on site, it really is only 15 ft away so you feel like you're right on top of the lake. I live on a lake so I'm not that easily impressed.We did not use the fire pit but having the hot tub outside to relax in during the evening was great, especially since the weather was cooler. You have great views over the lake and into saugatuck. I give this rental highest marks across the board, a definite recommendation for any considering it. ##### Robert B. It’s impeccably clean and very comfortable. We ended up having a free weekend last minute so I took a shot and contacted the property owner. This is the coolest house in the areas and really stands outs. The views are amazing. The house has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and was perfectly clean. Locations is perfect with walking distances to mount baldhead or oval beach (little further of a walk) or a quick ferry ride across to down.
