Anchors Away New Year's Eve Special: Book a stay at Anchors Away over December 31st and receive a complimentary Celebration Package to help you ring in the new year! 2-night minimum 3-night minimum for holidays 1 night stays okay last minute and mid-week This adorable suite is the ideal place to spend a few days away from reality. The open living, kitchen, and dining areas are perfect for relaxing with a movie or enjoying a meal at home. Head out onto the front deck where you can take in partial views of the endless parade of boats on the river, people watch, and sip your morning coffee. The below patio has additional outdoor furniture, a gas BBQ grill, and a fire pit shared with the neighboring rental properties. Get a good night's rest in the queen bedroom. The attached full bathroom has a shower/tub combo and workable space for your morning routine. You will want to head to town to take part in all downtown has to offer. Only 1.5 blocks away are the closest shops and restaurants. The other end of town is only a 1/2 mile away so everything is very close and easily accessible. We have an assortment of fine and casual dining establishments, ice cream shops, boutiques, art galleries, and even a Broadway-quality theater. If you're looking for a day in the sand, Lake Michigan is accessible by Douglas Beach, Oval Beach, or Saugatuck Dunes State Park within a 5-10 minute drive, or take a ride on our local Interurban for only $1. This is a great place to call home for your getaway to the beautiful Saugatuck/Douglas area! Please Note: This suite is one of three total units in the same building. Shared spaces and amenities between the neighboring units are the BBQ grill, the fire pit, and the furniture around the fire pit. The balcony is shared with the other upstairs unit, but each unit has its own set of patio furniture for guest use. Please be respectful of other guests staying in the neighboring units by adhering to the quiet hours from 10pm to 8am. This is an upstairs apartment and a flight of stairs is required for access. The only access to the bathroom is through the bedroom. There is no central AC. There is a window AC unit in the living room during summer months and a box fan in the bedroom. If you keep the blinds closed and the bedroom door open, the whole apartment will be cool. The building heat is kept at 68 degrees in the winter months. If you need additional heat, or heat during the summer, there is a baseboard electric heater in the bedroom. This apartment is small. The refrigerator and range are apartment-sized. The cleaners had used a strong-smelling disinfectant that would dissipate after being in the space. There ere multiple cobwebs on the balcony. The bed was difficult to lock in place no kept rolling about. The bigger issue was the bathtub. It felt slick and unsafe. There was no handlebar nor slip mat to prevent falls. When we called asking for a bath mat, the man explained that the property did not advertise one. The conversation came across s dismissive. On the papers given at check-in it reads “We always strive to give our guests a 5-star experience. If you feel your stay is not 5-star worthy, please contact us first so we can fix any issues and make your experience enjoyable.” Later the balcony screen door was sticking. Annoying but not unusable. We did not report it though. If Mill Pond Realty didn’t care about a safety concern, they were unlikely to care about an inconvenience ##### Steven B.
