From soup to nuts the experience at the Gran Hotel Florida was exceptional. I could not have asked for a better stay. I highly recommend it for those who do not mind a drive to the city. The views make it worth the trip to the top.
Very noisy street... cars & buses & horns from street traffic, people partying talking & laughing out front -- all well into the night, finally quieted-down about 2 am but not completely. But the facility was clean, and the security good.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and went beyond their call of duty to accommodate us. Our only suggestion would be that a kettle be provided in the room with tea and coffee sachets. Overall an excellent stay and we would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel for others.
The rooms really are great, after a lot of traveling i really enjoyed such great facilities. The shower was first class and really set the day off to a good start (Nothing worse than a bad shower in the morning). I had a magnificent view over Barcelona, which was always nice to wake up to. Overall it was the best hotel i stayed in during my travels in Europe.
The location is good, some great restaurants very close by and you're on the main street. The bus stop for the hop-on and hop-off buses is maybe 300m away. The only down side is that you will need to take a bus or face long walks to the main attractions, but as Barcelona is very big, you have no choice but to do that anyway.
The hotel staff were helpful and always gave lots of advice and tried to help my get tickets for the various attractions in the city. I Initially found the breakfast to be somewhat expensive, but you do get what you pay for and the same amount won't get you such a nice breakfast outside.
Overall, a very nice hotel and i would recommend it highly.
Lovely guest house . Decor is beautiful but the single room is really small and very basic with no view and a bit noisy. Staff are friendly .breakfast is abundant .
10 minutes by underground to the centre
Cute and trendy. Nice clean neighborhood. Steps from metro, grocery store, bank machine, bakery and the gelato place beside it got well used. 3 metro stops from the main hub at the north end of La Rumbla, where you can also catch the airport bus. Get the T10 metro tickets as each ticket is good for over an hour. In Barcelona you exit each metro line before you connect to the next one. Individual tickets don't work for connections. Good, reasonably priced breakfast.
Guillermo Tell is located just 100 metres from Barcelonas Plaça Molina and Sant Gervasi Train Stations. It offers spacious …More
We visited our daughter who is teaching in an international school on that side of Barcelona. We did the city tour on the red bus and that was excellant. We were close to Camp Nu and went to a match which was brillant. The train station was nearby so we went into the city centre ,saw the fountains, and all the many attractions.
A predominantly upmarket residential neighbourhood, Sarria-Sant Gervasi’s principal thoroughfare is the Diagonal, the city’s primary business and commercial district. The area is good for shopping with two branches of El Corte Inglés department store and L’Illa Diagonal mall. Neighbouring Gràcia (east) is best for a more local eating, drinking and shopping experience while and Pedralbes (north) is also well worth a visit.
