Here are 5 things you must do when visiting saratoga lake: 1) Visit Brown's Beach Brown's beach is one of the only public swimming spot on saratoga lake. This community favorite swimming spot was closed for roughly a decade and recently has been opened to the public again. It has a shallow launch area and is great area for learning any type of water sport. Picnic and volleyball area is available. 2) Rent a boat or kayak South Shore Marina, literally a short walk from the property! What better way to experience Saratoga Lake during the summer than to rent a boat, kayak or paddleboard? There are also other marinas and locations where you can rent boats, kayaks and paddle boards, such as Salvi Aquatic Boat Rentals, Point Breeze Marina, Lees Park, The Kayak Shak, among others. 3) Go fishing Saratoga lake boasts one of the best fishing spots in the region. The lake is excellent for bass fishing and the deepest section of the lake is 96 feet. The lake is also stocked with over 8 million walleye. The weed beds framing the shoreline are great for anglers fishing northern pike. Around for the winter? Ice fishing is also permitted - make sure to check out the annual ice fishing derby. 4) Take an afternoon to golf If you are an avid golfer, the Saratoga Lake golf club is a beautiful resort in the heart of the Adirondacks. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular and the neighbors were so welcoming. The place was clean and provided for our every need. We were 15 minutes from everything and quickly traveled to and fro from Downtown, SPAC, the star park and great restaurants. Upstairs foot traffic was very noticeable at times but minor overall. Nice kitchen stocked with all the hardware needed to cook a meal. I would recommend to anyone. ##### Jason B. My daughter and I were impressed by the cleanliness and the user friendliness of all needed things. Abundance of towels, very nice! Waking to the water view was spectacular and we saw many beautiful sunsets and rises. There were a couple minor things that need attention-lighting and multiple bird nests overhead on deck. You needed nothing except to pack a few clothes and essentials and Nick and Lynn had everything else at your fingertips. My too little puppies, myself and a close friend relaxed on the deck and enjoyed seeing all kinds of nature. I close my eyes and I am still there. We had a great (short) stay at this property. The house was very accommodating for our family and had everything we needed. The views from the deck were stunning and the boat dock was so convenient (we brought our pontoon up for the weekend and we’re able to tie up the boat to the dock and leave our trailer in a designated parking lot). However the views on the deck of Saratoga Lake, were so compelling that we did a “staycation” on the second floor of this well maintained second-floor condo. Nick and Lynn, the hosts, Provided a treasure trove of activities for us to sample… However, we felt so much peace in this quiet beautiful space that we enjoyed our family and the water and the views !!
