The actual house location was 15 minutes from the community we thought we had rented. Address was changed in VRBO while we were in the house. The pool was listed as heated but was not heated when we arrived. The hot tub was freezing. The house smelled like someone had smoked in it. The house was picked up and decorated nicely but it could have used a deep cleaning and some maintenance work - light bulbs out, towel rack broken off the wall. This property was great for the price, lots of space and bedrooms. Nice pool for kids. Spa was not heated but we were told it’s going to be heated in December as this is a new property for the owner. The only reason I’m rating 4/5 stars is because this was likely rented sooner than it should have been as she is still fixing and improving things. There was an odor in the house, you could tell smokers lived there before. Owner is fixing the house up with new paint and many other things so that will likely go away with time. Owner was very kind, she responded quickly to questions. An informational book would be nice for the future so we didn’t have to ask questions but as mentioned, she was very quick to respond.
