The hotel is nicely located near restaurants and within a 1 mile walk of the village of Saranac. There was an Ice Castle Festival going on while we were there with fireworks on Saturday night.

    Saranac Lake Hotels Guide

In the past Saranac Lake marketed itself as a sanatorium location. With the Adirondack mountain air, vistas of unspoiled lakes and forest, and outdoor recreation opportunities, it's not hard to see why. Today the locally-owned galleries, restaurants, and shops contribute to a small-town feel. Winter Carnival begins each February, and the Ice Palace is a must-see.
