Scenic ferry ride takes you to a different world. This newly completed cottage is nestled into the cultural, historic and tree-canopied barrier island on the Georgia coast. With new furnishings, the cottage features air conditioning, a large porch, full kitchen, 2 bedrooms w queen-size beds, 2 baths, and a sofa bed in the living room. There is a Chevy Suburban provided to explore the island and bring your walking shoes to enjoy the seven miles of beautiful uninhabited beaches. The cottage is equipped with internet TV, Wi-Fi, and landline phone service. Leave the stresses, cares, and worries at the Meridian, Ga. ferry dock, as you cruise the pristine tidal waterways on a seventeen minute ferry ride to Sapelo Island. Photos represent the sights and natural beauty of Sapelo Island and its resident lifestyles, both present and historical. Sapelo is an active community. It is truly one of the unknown gems of the state, and I hope it stays that way. The history on the island is pure and untouched, as well as the culture| — if you want gift shops and boutiques, go to St Simons. We have stayed here a couple of times now, and absolutely love the tidal flat cottage. Tod met us at the ferry landing on the trip out, as always, he was very polite and courteous ( no surprise-his texts and phone calls prior to the stay were always polite, on point, and punctual.) The cottage was just as we remember from seven years ago- clean and orderly with everything we needed to enjoy an amazing family vacation (Once we figured out the dynamic of the coffee maker, and the fact that it did not have a decanter 😊).
