The room itself appeared to be lovely- however the furniture was faulty, with the bed breaking when we were asleep (we hadn’t slept in 24 hours so this was not ideal!). We contacted the staff who came to our room and informed us that we need to move to another room for the night and that we could only stay there for the remainder of our stay, only to be told after moving all of our bags that we were misinformed and could only stay there for part of our stay. This was very frustrating as we didn’t get much sleep either in the new room as there was loud banging noises throughout the night. We then moved back into our old room the next day (where the bed was now fixed). As a result of this, we were also offered a spa 30 min treatment which was lovely and we were grateful to have received this. But we noticed that after our complaint, one staff member (Helena) started to act very coldly to us on multiple occasions and was very different to how she was when we first met her. The other staff were very lovely. I had a perfect stay at Tramonto. Location was great...a 3 min walk to the bus station, close to the restaurants and the action while being a short distance away so as to maintain some privacy. Anni was great at arranging everything including dinner reservations. Having breakfast delivered to the room every morning was the perfect way to start the day. If it is your first time to Santorini, I suggest you arrange the airport transfer with the hotel as it can be confusing to find it. The service was impeccable - the receptionist Anni went out of her way to accommodate our requests. The room was large and new, didn’t have any windows though. A semi-private roof top is a nice addition - we enjoyed our breakfasts and wine during sunsets there.
