It is close to the bus stop for the bus to the Thira bus station where you can get buses to the rest of the island. I recommend the bus ride to Oia. The pool was drained but I doubt if I would have used it anyway. Not much to do, small town in between the airport and FIra. Great stay for staying close to the wineries and the airport, short and cheap ride to Fira. Mittlerweile haben wir zweimal im Kalma-Hotel übernachtet und waren immer wieder mit allem zufrieden. Die ganze Atmosphäre ist sehr familiär und sie helfen wo sie können. Vor allem als wir wieder nach unserer Rundreise nach Santorini ankamen, durften wir bis zum Abflug die Infrastruktur wieder benutzen! The pool is very nice and clean, towels are provided you must ask for them. We were in a triple room, it was a bit cramped and the bathroom shower was very small. Each room has a small balcony which is nice to hang wet suits. The breakfast was ok, a typical European style. The area is bit far from the main activities in Fira, but easy to reach by taxi or bus. The room (which was really kind of a suite) was bigger than expected, with a great deck. Pool was awesome. Loved the location. If you want to be out of the craziness of the main parts of Santorini, Mesaria is a great option. Maro was lovely. Though I didn’t connect with her until the end, I noticed her relate to all the patrons with the warmth of a host. She was very kind and helpful to my kids and me.
