You have to be pretty fast in a very crowded street with lots of uneven steps and pavements to keep up and follow him to the apartment. So in terms of accessibility,The location is more suited to younger people. Otherwise place was very clean and had all the equipment for a short and comfortable stay. Website said safe included- didn’t see any. TV was not working. The beds are comfortable and the facility provided a bottle of water, wine and juice to us. However the stove isn’t clean and therefore we are not able to use it without setting off the fire alarm. The host of this place,Sophia, was very responsive and warm during the months leading to our stay. We arrived in Santorini and a porter took us to the Villa and then all communication halted. The villa was was not the two bedroom, bright beautiful airy villa (Blu Bianco) that we had booked. Instead it was a one bedroom and rather dark place but with still beautiful outdoor areas. We were told that the change was due to construction. The main reasons we booked this place was because it had two bedrooms which would have given the three of us ample room and also because of the washing machine that was absolutely necessary since we had been traveling for 2 weeks. But there was no washer which made for a very uncomfortable 5 days. The villa was quite lovely on the outside but not what we were expecting at all on the inside. In addition to the lack of space, there were no areas to store our clothes or hang anything. My daughter had to sleep on the couch instead of have her own room. The place was crammed and the stay uncomfortable. To add to that we had some strange neighbors that constantly hung out in our "private" outdoor areas taking pictures of us --and themselves--and intruding into our private space blatantly and constantly. So Bizarre. We visited in March which is a quiet time for the island. The house itself is wonderful and has the most amazing view. It is in a perfect location to watch the sunset and explore the rest of oía as you will be right in the middle of the most enviable location ! We loved our stay. The two-bedroom set-up was perfect - twin beds in one, double in the other. There were extra towels and bedding. The portable radiator was excellent for our late December stay, and the overall heating worked perfectly as well. The porch provides a breathtaking, peaceful view of the sea and the rest of the crescent-shaped island. My 12-year-old son adored the play station. Wifi was dependable. Even though it was a cave house, we still got a good amount of light inside. Climbing the series of steps to get to the cave house only enhanced the experience of being in Oia. We would not stay in ANY other part of the island!! This cave house property is amazing! Wonderful accommodations and a view to die for. Our host Sophia was very helpful and arranged transportation from the airport for us. She also had a nice bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. I would definitely stay here again. The good: 1) provides cute and traditional experience of living in a cave house in Oia 2) beautiful caldera views right from the balcony 3) very nice and gracious host Sophie who kept in constant touch with us in case we needed something 4) excellent location right under the two blue domes of Oia. If you want to have Oia as your base this is a great location bang in the center 5) hosts provide a porter to take your luggage back and forth to the transfer taxi, which is a very big deal considering the stairs in Oia. We were a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) staying for 4 nights and it was a great experience for us. We loved being in Oia right in the thick of all the action, and the views from the balcony is oh so amazing. Plus, there is a washer to wash clothes (which is a big deal according to my wife) The "bad" depending on what you want from your rental: 1) this is a traditional cave house style place, so if you are expecting super luxury this is not it. 2) if you have an issue walking up and down steps it will be tough going to and fro from this house since you have a lot of steps to navigate.
