The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I would highly recommend renting a car to get around because there is nothing in walking distance. The bar ran out of beer which was a bummer and breakfast was cold every morning (but very good). A second coffee machine would have been nice as there was a line to use it each morning. Getting to wake up and open our bedroom door and seeing the sunrise everyday was definitely worth it. Staff were friendly and polite. It’s in one of the quieter parts of Santorini and Imerovigli where the hotel is located is at a higher altitude, so if you are going for a short trip then I would recommend hiring a car, it will enhance the experience to enjoy beauty of Santorini and do other excursions easily since walk upto the bus stop is very steep and exhausting. Except for the private pool and a big swimming pool downstairs there are not other entertainment option for kids. The location isn’t walkable—no paved road, no restaurants or cafés nearby—so a rental car for the duration of the stay is a must. The view looks nice only at night or from certain angles, the real view from the balcony is very underwhelming. Breakfast was very limited with almost no fresh fruit, not what you’d expect at $500/night. Charging €2 for Nespresso pods felt offensive. Staff try their best, but with only one person at the desk, check-in/out can be slow.
