"This is NOT a Hotel.....buyers beware..."
We stayed there over memorial weekend, 4 days, 3 nights. The apartment (see reasoning below as to why this is an apartment and NOT a hotel) is very nice and clean and I would probably go back there again if I ever go to Santo Domingo. There were restaurants right across the street, a currency exchange place and also a few convenience stores. The reason I gave this place 3 stars is because of the following main reasons: 1. I book this through Expedia and assumed it was a hotel. In actuality, it's a 2 bedroom apartment rented out by owners. This was definitely NOT made clear to me by Expedia. It's not an issue if I had known earlier so I can pack accordingly. There were 4 of us staying at the 2 bedroom apartment but only 5 towels. There's NO maid/cleaning service so your towels are not changed at all. Also, there were NO beach towel service, or even beach towels in the unit from the owner. Therefore, we had to use our bath towels for the beach and then throw it in the washer/dryer every day so we can reuse it again. 2. For a two bedroom apartment, the boiler for the water is extremely small. That means, one person can shower at a time (there are 2 bathrooms) and not for a long period of time. The first 2 days I had to shower in luke warm to cold water....Maintenance did come up several times to try to adjust the water temperature. 3. there were only ONE set of keys for the 4 of us. That meant that we couldn't separate at all times....

"Close to the airport"
The room was pretty accurate from the reviews. It was what was expected. Simple. Clean. Pay in cash. They don't speak much English but my son spoke Spanish so there were no problems. Great for a quick night stay when our flight got in past midnight. Gated parking.

"Everything else ok, just our phone charger was "
Food and else was great. The only bad experience was that we left our iphone 6 charger in the room and someone took it. Security was of no help. We did not get restitution.

"Stay in the taller building!"
I stayed in the Hamaca Suites deluxe balcony room with ocean view. It's definitely more than a 2.5 out of 5. Room: spacious, quiet, modern renovation, comfortable bed, good water pressure, 2 beer and 2 soda in mini bar, 2 big bottles of water. TV is small for the room. Food: buffet worth $20 pp if in US. Better than average all inclusive hotels in Punta Cana. Beach: calm, very little seaweed, sand is ok. But much better than Bevaro beach in Punta Cana (full of seaweed). Staff: nice and helpful in general. Yes some are selling time share, just say thanks and that's fine. Don't show your interest. Entertainment: nothing special, movie, live music, show, not bad overall. Transportation: they charge for $30 for one way to Las America airport. It's overpriced. The area: it doesn't seem safe outside the property. Travelers: mostly from local. English speaking is minority.

"A Pleasant Hotel, but still lacking."
The hotel is please y located on the beach serving some delicious meals, but does lack on some basic amenities for today's travelers. For instance, the lack of pool towels throughout the day and the lack of wifi connectivity within the rooms made for an unpleasant stay. Another unpleasant experience was the lack of cooperation and assistance from the hotel staff. For example, when asking for another pool towel repeatedly, staff members would make no effort to get one for you even though you had been asking for over an hour.

"Great Bang for your buck!"
Friendly reception area. Clean over all. A little dated. Mostly Europeans Visiting; not many Americans. The hotel is comprised of a few buildings so getting to the room was a bit of a challenge, felt like a maze. Bed sheets smelled humid. I sprayed them with perfume at night before bed. The hot water did not work in our room, but the climate was such that cold showers did not bother us. Food was good. No food or water poisoning. Do NOT SPEND money on the hotel WIFI! what a rip off. NEVER worked the whole time there. The activities were fun and the night club was great. Did a safari excursion booked through the hotel and we all enjoyed and loved the experience Maid was nice and did an excellent job cleaning up after a family of 4 with two small children. This was a last minute booking because we missed our flight for a cruise. We were quite satisfied with what we spent. We would definitely return if on a tight budget. Do not book if expecting a 4 to 5 star hotel.

"Nice hotel good location"
you get what you pay for, and I was able to go on a less expensive mini vacay with some friends. the hotel was beautiful and perfectly distanced from airport and also was right on the beach. I would recommend this hotel for a quick stay, child friendly, don't expect too much :)
