A pleasant stay. The man at reception when I arrived at about 11pm was very efficient and helpful. The room was clean and amenities like soap and towels were stocked suffiently. The room had TV and an air conditioner and a clean bathroom and shower.
Breakfast was simple but tasty, if somewhat understocked for a buffet.
Checkout was quick and easy and the hotel kindly arranged a taxi back to the airport. (P. 15,000 on the way out and P10,000 on the way back (£1=700 pesos)
I had some simple Spanish phrases prepared: 'I want to buy some cigarettes', 'I want to go to the airport', 'how much?' etc and a basic knowledge of some numbers, and although the staff did not speak English, we managed to communicate adequately.
The hotel is located in a dubious- looking part of Santiago and the neighbourhood is quite dimly- lit, but there were families with children walking about, even at the time I arrived and it was also the case the next moring, and I had no trouble exploring the area for an hour or so before I left.
I had the address printed on the Expedia confirmation and the taxi driver had no trouble finding the hotel or navigating to the airport.
Certainly a good, cheap option for an overnight stay in Santiago. I had no problems and the hotel suited my needs in terms of price, ammenity and requirements.
