I booked for two nights and both days was not able to take shower because there was no hot water, the staff at the hotel was terrible never received a responde about the water temperature issue and decided to leave, the manager at the hotel offered an upgrade for my next stay. I will never stay in that hotel.

It was okay, need recycling garbage can in the room, coffee machine difficult to make it work. I requested to change room because my was too dark but none gave me any answer. Location is good but I wasn't impress with the service.

Excellent stay in Santiago!
Excellent service. I was able to get my room early upon arrival with no problems. Concierge was so helpful in planning day excursions for me. Loved the quiet swimming pool!

This hotel is a disaster, in your website it didn’t say that the hotel is under renovation, I paid for king size room and it was too noisy because the renovation, I requested to change my room and what I got it’s a 2 single beds room and that was unacceptable, I paid for king size bed room, and the new room was noisy too, I could hear what’s going on next door specially if my neighbor takes a shower, for an almost usd300 per night in average, the hotel put me in the old tower. Another thing on the 2nd night I’m a gold member of yours and That didn’t help so much, what I got is free bearkfast and the hotel offered me to change the last night the room but it was too late for me, I won’t ever stay here again, I have to recognize that at least I got a late check out until 2pm

Worst experience in last 5 years
The hotel was very unprofessional. They don't understand what are required for hospitality industry. From check-in to check-out and luggage claim, they did it all wrong. I was literally shocked that Intercontinental brand could be this bad. Not recommending this hotel at all.

Attractive decor, spacious room(handicap accessible?). Big problem was lack of hot water. Other travelers said to let the water run for 10 minutes, but ours never became hot -just lukewarm.

Horrible experience
our stay was terrible. they have three towers. one is completely run down, dirty. signs all over the place that thy want to renovate. carpets were so dirty that even massive amount of air freshener they were pumping in the air through( that is what I believe they were doing as air freshener smell was unbearable) air conditioning could not take the smell away. I had to fight with the hotel managers to finally change our room to another tower.

Terrible experience, try to avoid.
Was placed in a hotel room in the back tower. By far the worst hotel room I have ever been placed in and i travel alot for work. It was old, the walls were filthy, carpet was filthy, Bathroom hadn't been updated in what looked like 30 years, there was grout missing in between the tiles. The mattress was sagging, and uncomfortable. The chair for the desk had stains all over it and there were hairs on the bed, there was also a faint mould smell lingering in the air. There was also construction going on during the day which made it very loud in the room at times. When I complained I was forced to pay 100 USD to upgrade to a newer room. This was a terrible experience, this hotel should have a warning that there are rooms of this condition there and that there is construction going on. I have been in university dorms that were better.

Great area; rooms need some TLC.
Lobby was beautiful - but the room was in desperate need of a renovation. Bathroom especially - mold on the ceiling, caulking along the tub was stained pink/red. Carpet looked stained and as though carpet powder had recently been shaken over parts of it. Room was simply tired looking with wallpaper that was overused in areas and dirty. I was only there one night so not enough for me to request a room change. I heard that the tower I was in had rooms that were not yet renovated but definitely not the InterContinental Hotel experience that I'm used to. The concierge team was quite friendly but the check in person was less so.

Unpleasant experience
The hotel is nice, however during my stay there was ongoing refurbishment of the third floor and huge noise between 09:00 and 18:30. The hotel gests were not advised regarding the ongoing repair and had to support that. Some of the receptionist need to be more tolerant to the guests regarding the complains and to offer solutions, instead of being rude. Personally I will avoid this hotel in the future.

really loud rooms, it sounded almost as if the windows were open. The security lock on my room was broken. The air conditioning would randomly stop working and it would get hot in my room. The carpet looked stained and aged, definitely not one of the nicer Intercontinental I've stayed at. I felt more like I was staying at a Motel. There was also no key card needed to access any of the floors or into the hotel-so at night if you weren't a guest you could have access to any room. Other than that, the hotel is in a good, safe location, and the staff is really friendly.

Good location, good service, Great breakfast buffet. Coffee was a little lukewarm, which I don't like. Had an issue with the coffee machine outlet in room but maid helped with bringing an adaptor to plug into different outlet. Room service was pretty quick and food good.

Nice Hotel-- Small Issues
While this hotel was very nice in terms of the room and staff, there was some construction going on outside of the rooms at all hours (sounding like pipes screeching down a chalk board). We also had issues with every room service order we placed, as there was something missing or incorrect each time.
