Too much sun
The AC was not enough to counter the effects of the sun through the large windows, even with the heavy drapes closed. The temperature never got below 23.5 my entire stay, even though I set the controls to 18. A maintainance worker tried to adjust the AC but said that it was working at the maximum. I was able to sleep with the AC on high at night blowing directly on me on the bed.

The hotel is close to a mall and excellent restaurants. Front desk staff and bellmen were all so helpful. My disappointment was with the restaurant staff, especially at breakfast. No one came for my beverage order and as soon as I sat down after getting food from the buffet, a server brought me the bill. No one returned to clear my plate and when I later got up to get some yogurt to take my medication, a server with glasses (Carlos, I believe ) told me the buffet was closed. I was in shock and couldn’t believe the lack of customer service.

Perks not honored
Our confirmed reservation from Expedia stated we had breakfast for two and drinks and hors doeuvres. We were staying three nights but the hotel have not had a lounge for years so there were no drinks or hors doeuvres as we expected. They did give us each a drink ticket for coffee or wine when we arrived and on the last evening after I complained to multiple staff they gave us a an appetizer to share and each a drink. Not exactly what was promised on our reservation so very deceptive. We did pay extra to have a junior suite which was lovely.

Everything is at good level. However whenever I stay at good hotels for long time, I get really tired, I feel like staying in empty space alone so my mind? body start getting tired. i.e. I stay at cheap house type now. Sometimes one has expectations of these businesses that are higher than what they are able to provide. Unfortuitously, in this specific circumstance, I had to see, over the course of the same procedure, staff members who were apathetic or even contemptuous (sometimes without even recognizing it). Staying at a Doubletree or a Hilton has (at least in other countries) consistently provided a positive impression. In this specific circumstance, the answer is no.

Close to all the places you’d want to go to in Santiago, and right across the street from the Costanera Center. Very clean, and the service is very good. Breakfast is definitely worth the extra add on, great buffet and service.

This hotel was excellent. In fact good enough that I returned to stay there the next week. My only complaint was with one of their managers. The entire staff was outstanding with the exception of him. He was rude to one of my friends who was staying there at the time. He then showed no courtesy to me. We had requested a late checkout and was told we could have the rooms until 3 pm. We checked out 2 of the rooms at 3 pm, but one of our group became sick and we asked to keep that room until 7 pm.We were told that we would need to pay half of the daily room rate to which we agreed. Accidentally all 3 rooms under my name were checked out. While eating in the hotel, I was summoned by the evening manager and yelled at for not vacating the room. I tried to explain that we had a sick friend and was told earlier by the front desk manager that we could pay half and retain the room until 7 pm. There was obvious miscommunication between the off-going manager, the front desk, and the manager. As I tried to clarify the problem and pay the late check out fee, I was yelled at and told there was no policy for only paying half of the normal room rate for a 4 hour extension of our stay. Finally we agreed to the half pay and my credit card was charged. My complaint is not with the front desk staff, which was excellent, but rather with one individual representing the hotel whose rude treatment to me while failing to resolve the misunderstanding amicably.
