The check in was fast and easy. The breakfast has good. The check out was very easy and the staff contacted the Taxi company and the driver arrived on time. Great service overall and will recommend.

Great breakfast!
Located just 5 minutes walking to the Cathedral and main attractions such as restaurants, gift shops, coffee shops, boutiques and more! Hotel was clean with an excellent buffet breakfast with charcuterie, cheeses and fresh fruit. Santiago at the front desk and staff in general were friendly and very helpful. A taxi can be arranged at reception for 25 Euros and is only 30 minutes away. Thank you for your hospitality Hotel Gelmirez!

I am a repeated guest of this hotel because of the good qualities of this accomodation close to the centre of the old Santiago de Compostela and the cathedral. Conveniently located in the middle of the commercial area, walking distance to the train station. The hotel is clean and quiet.

Got there late, family of 3 with 3 real beds so happy with that. Clean and modern styling. Excellent location - straight into the city centre, short walk to old town and you can catch the bus to the airport 5 mins up the same street (€1 each!).

Service Mentality needs to be improved
had a little incident at the check out where it grew to be unnecessarily unpleasant due to inexperienced receptionist but could be ignored. however, i forgot a jacket in the property and they refused to extend any services to deliver it even if i offered to pay and a mail that i sent was not even responded to! not demonstrating a good mentalitym combined with the attitude at the check out

No wifi and no refund, would not recommend.
We were there for 2 nights. The first day our wifi didn't work. They were nice enough to give us a different room, but that room's wifi also didn't work. Our last night they told us it was actually a problem on the whole floor. We asked for any sort of refund given that we reserved the hotel thinking it had wifi, but they said no. 1 star given that we didn't get we paid for.

One night's stay.
Super comfortable bed and awesome bathroom with shower/tub combo. Lot's of variety in the buffet breakfast. If you're really hungry, it's worth the 10 euros.

After finishing the Camino this hotel was heaven. Big room so I could open the suitcase on a stand, beautiful bathroom, big shower, comfortable bed, soooo quiet, 10 minutes walk to the cathedral, 2 minutes walk to the bus to the airport, great supermarket next door, fridge in the room, lift, laundromat 200 m away, great breakfast with fresh fruit and eggs plus usual things. Loved it!

The hotel location is just perfect.
The hotel in a great location, very convenient for someone who doesn't rent a car. Close to all the attractions and lovely restaurants. Airport bus 6A stops just a street away and within 5 mins walk from the hotel, perfect for us. The breakfast was lovely too and the staff, ever so helpful.

Good value, welcoming and excellent location.
Modern and friendly hotel with helpful staff and a pleasant morning buffet breakfast. The rooms are clean and well furnished and the bathroom is modern with a good shower. Two small points to note are that the Wi-Fi in the bedroom was not very strong and there is a lack of hooks to hang wet towels in the bathroom. This hotel is excellently located for the old town and very close and convenient for the railway station. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable stay representing good value for money.

Great hotel in Santiago di compostela
Great hotel for a stay in Santiago di compostela. Very central. Just a few minutes walk to the cathedral and old town. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Also very near the pick up point for tours. The hotel was very clean and had a great breakfast with hot and cold food, pastries and fruit. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Excellent location,5 minutes walk to train station and 10 minutes to the cathedral. Clean and bright room with friendly staff. What we don't like is the lack of amenities, not even water nor kettle, no rubbish bin, and there's a minibar description in the hotel amenities but only an empty fridge

Good stopover
Used for a one night stopover. We were on 7th floor, so street noise was limited but I think lower floors may be a problem. Room was nice, clean and quiet Aircon. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. Staff helpful Overall would recommend.

Hotel Gelmirez, good to be there
Very good, some confusion (miss communication) between hotels.com and hotel Gelmirez, of which I believe the weakness was on hotels.com side. Later additional bookings were also suddenly without breakfast for still the same price.
