Friendly staff. Nicely located near beach and restaurants and everything. Everything related to plumbering needed some freshness... Also the parking was not too convenient, but not worse than every place in Santa Teresa.

My reservation did not exist. The property was full and I was left with no place to stay in a foreign country. Not sure if this was expedia or property error, but was awful experience.

Was not impressed with check in staff...had no clue what was going on. Could not find confirmation number..wanted to charge more. Went to a different hotel as not worth the hassle.

We are sorry to read this but we do studio apartment rentals. Our check in staff schedule is till 5 pm. After that time the security staff does a quick check in till the morning after when the staff is back. If you arrive late at night and your reservation is for 2 guests but at the check in you are 3 guests the security staff may get confused especially if you still insist you are willing to pay for 2 guests ( original reservation) and not for the 3 guests that are going to stay at the facility.

Completely Disappointed
We were so disappointed that we left a day early. This hotel is listed as a 3 star hotel. It is not. There is very little service, the room did not even have towels when we arrived. We requested towels and received very worn towels. We requested some hand towels and received a rag. Had this been listed as a 2 star hotel, I would not be as harsh on this review. However, for the price we paid I do not feel we received the service or the quality that we had at other hotels of a similar price range. The pictures are not accurate. While there is a kitchen available, there are no supplies for washing any dishes - such as towels or soap. We did not have any cleaning service because they "only clean if we are there". Which is crazy, we don't want to wait around to have our room cleaned while we are on vacation. I would not recommend this hotel.

Great experience in Santa Teresa
The owners were incredibly nice and helpful. They got us surfboards, lessons, rental bicycles, rental quads, and give us very good and insightful advice about what to do in the area. Great experience, ended up staying longer than originally planned.

Good spot right near the water
I spent 2 nights at this hotel. It's a 1 minute walk down to the ocean where there's a great sunset view. Room was super clean and I had a hammock on the front porch of my first floor room. Hardly anyone else on the property since it was off season. I'd totally stay here again on my next visiti to Santa Teresa.

Had a very large and comfy room but as they couldn't offer me an option I think it was totally over prized for one person, no breakfast or even welcome water bottle included. Some staff great, others with an attitude and not really welcoming. No service after 5pm just a guy who was there to keep an eye and he only spoke spanish. Very dark in the evening! No lights around the pool and I was, the first night was pretty much the only guest, it didn't feel good to walk in the dark. WiFi worked well outside of the room but not inside. As I was there for 'workation' wifi was crucial for me. The cleaning was good and most staff pleasant, but whatever info I asked for regarding local buses, taxis etc. They didn't have an answer and I had to check the internet (was their recommendation). A young girl who worked at the reception daytime was really helpful and professional though - and also when I had forgotten an important item after leaving - she e-mailed to let me know. Overall - over prized, don't expect service, but clean and convenient if you are i.e 3 ppl to share a room. /Monica from Sweden

Perfect location few steps from the beach
Everything was perfect during our stay. Location couldn't be more convenient a few steps from the beach. Large rooms equipped with air condition, kitchen, porch and a hammock! Beautiful chill put and pool area perfect for relax after a long day

Inte värt pengarna
slitet hotel som mest lägger sina resurser på att hyra ut sufbrädor. Otroligt slitet och nedgånget. Trasigt kakel i princip hela polen. Dålig luftkondetionering och i övrigt i stort behov av renovering.

Its a pity that your perception of our place was negative however several other clients staying the same week didn't feel the same and they were very happy to stay in our studios. Actually they keep coming back.

Le wi-fi était defectueux les premiers jours, et ensuite nous ne le captions pas dans la chambre, il fallait aller à l'extérieur. tres bel emplacement, entre la plage et les restaurants/boutique! L'eau de la piscine n'était pas très claire. Nous ne pouvions pas payé par Visa, la personne nous mentionnait que son terminal etait brisé, et qu'il chargeait 5% de plus si nous options pour ce mode de paiement.

Not trustworthy but close to the beach
The characters who run Pacifica Surf Studios are very dodgy. At the checkin the confirmation from Hotels didn´t seem to comply with the hotels version of the deal. We we´re two groups checking in and paying at the hotel with different priced rooms. My room seemed to be booked at somewhat the right price but the hotel still wanted to charge me more than in the mail but after a while they offered the same price. The other room ended up seventy dollars more expensive. On top of that they wanted to charge me a hefty 5 percent extra when paying with a credit card and if I wanted to pay in local currency they offered an outrageous exchange rate. I ended up going to the bank to withdraw dollars instead, still having to deal with exchange rates. Hotels.com shouldn´t let these people handle the payment.

Dear guests, It's a pity that you had a bad because but as we explained to you several times, if you do the reservation for a certain number of guests and then at the check in you show up with more guests then the original reservation we have to charge a different price because the lodging rates depend from the number of people that are staying in the studio apartment. All the Payment are done by the guests with credit card and never in cash. If your credit card is denied for any reason by the credit card machine we eventually will accept cash in US dollars and not in local currency. If for any reason the client insists to pay in local currency we will use the exchange rate updated to that day. The process we will be done it in front of the client with internet.

We are sorry if you didn't appreciate Santa Teresa and the studios but Santa Teresa is a very special place . We are faraway from everything, we have no streets , we have no electricity at night in the streets. Sometimes the electricity and internet go away because it is a small village town in the middle of nowhere in a tropical forest. Santa Teresa is becoming very popular among International tourists but its not a place for the average tourist.
