Southern Serenity had everything my family and I needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the coastal themed decor. There were 3 bedrooms with 3 king beds plus a smaller 4 th bedroom/bunk room with a set of twin beds that was attached to the 2 nd upstairs bedroom which was nice to keep an eye on the kids and there was a door to close in between the bedrooms. Additionally, there was also a set of queen over queen bunk beds with another trundle that we didn’t end up using. All of the beds were clean and cozy. The 3 1/2 bathrooms were all spacious with plenty of towels. The kitchen is well equipped with just about anything you need. We could not get the coffee maker to work during our stay. We were pleasantly surprised to find a waffle maker that makes 6 waffles at a time. There are no spices, seasonings or sugar. There is an iron, ironing board, washer, dryer, and a blow dryer. Pool is a couple of short blocks away. Public Beach is a good half mile walk away with NO beach chairs or beach towels. There are so many restaurants and shopping close to the home. We felt safe and secure the whole stay. Upstairs balcony and downstairs lanai were a nice quiet place to sit for a drink. Had a great stay here. ##### Kristine L. Jul 24, 2023 #### Tons of mold and algae in the pool The pool was in horrible condition with tons of black mold on the pool walls, as well as several other maintenance issues. It was unusable our entire stay, the photos on this listing are nothing like the current condition of the pool. I sent several photos of the pool and have been told by Vacasa that they have contacted the homeowner about this since they do not manage the community pool, with no response from the homeowner at this point. We chose this property so that we had a pool for our 1 year old grandchild and it was so filthy we couldn’t take her in. Beds were comfy. We had some trouble getting the storage room door open initially but there were plenty of chairs and an umbrella to use. The beach is a bit of a walk. We usually drove and were able to find parking fairly close. I would recommend the beach on down the road which was called Panic Beach. The water here was prettier and clearer. One of the neighbors was a bit rude this morning when we were leaving because the car horn sounded when we were locking/unlocking doors. But oh well. Otherwise it was great ! ##### Lisa H. Unsecured Wifi using Turnkey network continually lost connectivity and eventually stopped working. Resolved quickly when Turnkey provided password for secured CenturyLink network. Enjoyed the 3 screened in porches but had a very hard time locking and unlocking the screen doors. The 3 beach chairs provided were terrible and should be thrown out. The pool is a short walk away and very clean. BBQ gas grill was very clean and came in handy. ##### Mary and Ron L. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property was as pictured. Very comfortable furnishings. The description states ironing board and iron (only a place for one, bring your own if needed since not furnished). It mentions beach chairs available (only 3 the property sleeps 10)Housekeeping was mediocre at best.
