If you want some calmer waters for kayaking and fishing, it's less than 2 miles to Choctawatchee Bay! The Blue Bayou is a spacious, pet friendly, 4 bedroom, 2 full bath home that can accommodate 10 guests and there is plenty of room for a boat or two!! Relax on the spacious front porch while enjoying your morning coffee, or enjoy a large gathering at night on the back porch screened in bar area, complete with an outdoor TV and furniture ! The interior of the home is light with a relaxing atmosphere and a beautiful wall of glass in the dining room overlooking a large fenced in back yard which is perfect for kids and your pets! There are 6 TV's including one in each bedroom, wireless WI-FI or jump on one of the bikes we provide and to go for a ride! Grab some beach chairs and umbrellas from the garage and watch the sunset! Kitchen was well stocked with anything you may need for cooking if you choose to do so. We chose this property as we had 2 trucks and boats for our time on the ocean. Boat ramp was a 3 minute drive which was great. We had plenty of room to park the trucks/ trailers as well as 2 additional trucks. That’s not easy to find in this area. Only complaint I had was the back porch was hot in the mid of day in summer. Yet it is Florida. Winter time would be great to enjoy the nice big screened in back porch. There is a garage area that had bicycles, beach chairs and beach umbrellas to utilize while there. Overall it was a great place. ##### Tina H. It has a cute and homey feel to it from when we first walked in. The location was conveniently located close to two boat launches, and had plenty of room to park my boat under a carport cover. We liked how it was close to the beach roads, restaurants, and stores, but set back on one of the not so busy streets. Jul 24, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Well-Appointed Home Near the Beach The property was amazing: Spacious, clean, and so well-appointed! I have never been in a rental, until this one, where the owners had everything you could think of available to you. From slow cookers, coffee makers, and French presses, to beach chairs and extra towels, to dog bowls - they had it all! The home was perfect for our family group of 7, everyone was comfortable and had plenty of space. There was even a trundle bed in the master bedroom which was perfect for our toddler; there was a room with 2 twin beds, perfect for our 2 older kids, and the remaining 2 rooms had full size beds. The fenced in backyard was perfect for our dogs. And the best part, we were only minutes driving distance to a couple of beaches. Stayed with two coworker's & one of their dogs then our families came to stay the last week for spring break. Overall good communication with the owner especially at booking and first week of stay. House was clean. Enjoyed the back patio area. Appreciated the option to use beach chairs, eagon and umbrella. Beds weren't all thst comfortable just too soft for our liking. We cleaned up after ourselves during our time and put everything back were it belonged. A few minor hiccups happened while we were there, like a chair bolt came out of one of the patio chairs and we used our tools to put it back on and tighten it. There was a strong sewer smell in the every once and awhile out by car port, not sure if it was from house or nect door, meant to inform the owner but forgot. Ended up being charged additional cleaning fee for a repair ? and a fee to replace a runner, not sure why. We followed the leaving instructions left by the owner, we left a day earlier than our checkout date, so only thing we didnt get to do was help start a load to wash bed sheets as we didn't want it to soil overnight in the washer. The drive to restaurants and beach is just perfect . Our most favorite part was the late night bike riding and the bar .
