"We had a relaxing stay in this peaceful location. The house is well equipped and very clean. Susana our host lives nearby and checked in with us via text. She was friendly and not intrusive. The pool kept our children entertained. There is plenty to do in the area if you dont mind a drive. The only issue was the patchy internet which cannot be helped given the rural location. We were happy to disconnect for a while and relax. We would book again."

"Tapada da Beirã was a charming villa, it had everything we could have wished for, the hosts were lovely and were on hand with advice and knowledge of the area. Plenty of outdoor spaces to relax or eat al fresco and a super swimming pool. You need a car to get around, the nearest shop is in Santo António das Areias. About 20 steps from the Villa is a lovely restaurant and the food was amazing as were the staff."

"We spent seven days here in April, 2023. This is a lovely village with everything you might need for a great time. Restaurants were exceptionally good. The people were very nice and outgoing. Many spoke English. Lots of good walking in the area. We'd go back to this area in a heartbeat. If you go don't miss nearby Marvao castle and village. As for the house, there are 38 steep steps from the lower level up to the terrace. The middle flight is steepest and has no handrail. The house is 3 levels...

"Stunning location and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Had some problems finding it as signs to Pousada were poor, and no directions available. Parking is limited at hotel, although there is sufficient within walking distance. Steep slopes and steps to hotel itself, with no vehicle access, so you will need to carry your luggage some distance, although staff were happy to help.
