« Honestly, we expected the hotel to be good, but it actually surpassed our expectations in pretty much every way. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful from the minute we walked in the door, but never fussy. We were able to just switch off and relax, but there was always someone around when we needed them. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all fantastic and the wine from the vineyard was terrific. We did the premium wine tasting of three of the wines and tried three others with meals and...

« Un peu difficile à trouver avec un GPS et au bout d'un chemin de terre mais au bout le paradis. Ça se mérite. Et accueil plein de gentillesse et de serviabilité. Très grandes pièces décorées d'armures et armes anciennes. Propreté sans faille. Grande chambre élégante et literie de bonne qualité. Dans la campagne a quelques kilomètres de Portalegre mais si reposant après une journée de voiture et de visites. »

The municipality is bordered by Spain northeast, east by the municipality of Marv?o, south by the municipality of Portalegre, the southwest by the municipality of Crato and west and northwest by the municipality of Nisa.

The romantic character of the town of Castelo de Vide, associated with its gardens, plenty of vegetation, mild climate and proximity to the Serra de S?o Mamede, became known as the "Sintra of Alentejo" (this term is attributed to King D.
