Whether you are visiting for business or pleasure, looking to do some hiking, shopping, or being an art or history connoisseur, you cannot find a better or more luxurious place to enjoy all the excitement and opportunities Santa Fe has to offer than the Water Street Residences. These vacation rentals are located in a downtown historic landmark building located just 450 feet from the famous Santa Fe Plaza. These are split-level homes located upstairs from the well-known local store Doodlet's and across the street from world-renowned businesses such as Cafe Pasqual's, Market Steer Steakhouse (Hotel St. Francis), and Coyote Cantina and Cafe. Originally built in the early 1870s, this was a very significant building that was transformed first into a hotel in order to attract guests traveling through Santa Fe on the new western railroad. This building sits within Santa Fe's Historic District and has had a multitude of prior uses such as a hotel, laundromat, and cobbler's shop. It has since been renovated into retail on the ground floor and residential on the second and third floors. This amazing unit is located in downtown Santa Fe, and therefore some basic street noise can be expected, but we do have white noise applications on the televisions if needed. There is one free parking pass provided that gives you parking access in the lot just across the street. \*\*\*This property does not have an elevator within or outside the unit. Very convenient - walked to 3 Out of the 5 restaurants. Easy to leave and go hiking. Two day trips : Taos and Los Alamos. We were able to shop together and then split up because the condo was so convenient. Very well appointed. Only slight issue - lots of stairs (which we knew about). Also, parking was in a surface lot managed by the city. It worked out fine but it tended to fill up so we had to hunt for spaces a couple of times. Also - weekend “cruisers” ie loud cars and motorcycles disrupted sleep. Brought our own sound machine plus their app on the TVs. Would rent this unit again. ##### Peter H. My adult daughters and I had a blast staying here for my Medicare birthday! The unit was perfect and so close to everything. My daughters were so thrilled to be able to walk everywhere. Property management was very helpful with recommendations for lunch and allowed us to store our luggage before Checkin and after checkout. We had a blast and no complaints!
