This casita boasts all of the Santa Fe touches, including kiva fireplace, hand-troweled plaster walls, wood ceilings, and local art -- all combined with modern conveniences including air conditioning, combo washer/dryer, and a new kitchen. The ample living and outdoor spaces also make this casita unique. Sitting on the front porch gives you a view over the garden and makes you feel a part of the quaint Don Gaspar neighborhood, while the secluded back patio is the perfect place to decompress. When you are ready to venture out, the famous Santa Fe Plaza is only seven short blocks away and the State Capitol is only one block away. The owner, a Santa Fe native, lives just across the street and is happy to share insider tips or let you enjoy your privacy. This rental is one-half of a historic, single-level duplex, but is quite private. Nether the living room, nor either of the bedrooms share walls with neighbors. We've stayed in the Plaza area several times now and this was the best as far as location & parking goes. It was an easy walk to the Plaza and all the wonderful things it has to offer. The Casita was well equipped with all we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the home is decorated both comfortable and beautifully. We loved the private patio, especially in the morning for coffee and evening for conversation. Very thoughtful amenities including a well-stocked kitchen, coffee and creamer, condiments in the refrigerator, and toiletries. Outside, feeders buzz with birds and hummingbirds. And the location can't be beat! Just a short walk from the plaza. Safe and secure. All 4 of us wish we owned this amazing home. It had all of the amenities you need, and it was charming and so comfortable. It was located close to everything and we were able to walk to downtown.
