Welcome to El Nido Lane Tesuque, an enchanting 1-bedroom casita nestled in the serene and upscale Tesuque Village neighborhood. Perfect for a romantic getaway or honeymoon, this adobe home, dating back 120 years, has undergone meticulous restoration, offering a captivating retreat that transports you to a distant paradise. Despite its peaceful seclusion, the casita is conveniently situated within walking distance of charming restaurants, galleries, and shops, with downtown Santa Fe just a short 15-minute drive away.  
  
An adobe wall surrounds El Nido Lane Tesuque and its gorgeously landscaped courtyard, ensuring privacy and tranquility. You’ll find numerous seating areas and patios where you can laze in the sun or enjoy drinks and dinner in the shade. Think of it as The Secret Garden transplanted to the Southwest!  
  
The interior is no less dazzling, with its viga ceiling beams, wide-planked wood floors, adobe walls and shuttered windows. The furnishings of the large living room are both comfortable and elegant. You’ll love snuggling on the sofa to watch a movie on the large flat-screen TV with cable, especially in winter, when the wood-burning kiva fireplace imbues the room with a warm glow.  
  
The kitchen/dining area is another roomy, welcoming space, with 2 tables and modern appliances, cookware and tableware. Sure, numerous acclaimed restaurants are merely a stroll away (including the wildly popular Tesuque Village Market and El Nido). Once you see how charming this dining space is, you might want to eat most of your meals in. If you need to catch up on work (or want to post photos of the charming casita online), you can set up your laptop here or in the small office - El Nido Lane Tesuque has free WiFi for your convenience. And speaking of convenience, the home has its own washer and dryer as well.  
  
The primary bedroom is just as restful and romantic as the rest of El Nido Lane Tesuque. The king-size 4-poster bed invites you to turn in early and sleep late. The adjacent bathroom is, like the kitchen, beautifully tiled; lingering in its tub will be a pleasure, especially after a day on the go. We’ll provide all the clean towels you could possibly need, as well as bedding - leave yours at home where they belong.  
  
The Tesuque Village neighborhood has the dual advantages of being conveniently close to numerous attractions and being far enough from downtown that you can relax away from the hubbub. From El Nido Lane Tesuque you can walk to several art galleries, including Shidoni Foundry and Gallery, Glenn Green Galleries and Sculpture Garden and Tesuque Glass Works. The Santa Fe Opera is just a few miles away, as is Camel Rock Casino. Santa Fe Plaza, the galleries of Canyon Road, the Palace of the Governors, Loretto Chapel and numerous other must-sees are also only minutes away by car. As for outdoor adventures, you can be on the hiking trails of Atalaya Mountain or the slopes of Ski Santa Fe in no more than 45 minutes.

We had a love/hate relationship with this casita. Love: the location, the front courtyard, the privacy and the gated area for our puppies. Hated: the tall bed is hard to get into/out of, especially for seniors or those with mobility issues. Our main complaint was the front screen door didn’t close properly and the screen itself wasn’t attached at the bottom. We attempted to tape it down ourselves since we needed the air flow as unit doesn’t have air conditioning. We responded to a survey on our first full day in the unit and were assured management would follow up, but we never heard from anyone. Don’t know if the screen door situation was to blame, but we encountered an infestation of flies during our stay. We killed 50 and finally gave up. For someone who has an aversion to flies and the germs they carry, that was the deal breaker for us.

Terrific location, quiet and lovely yard to hang out. Teague Village Market nearby was a giant plus! The food so good- we ate there twice during our stay. Casita was artfully curated and cozy. Bed comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

This is a lovely oasis away from the hustle and bustle but just minutes from the downtown plaza. The casita is small but ample for a couple, the bed is super comfortable and supportive, and the authenticity of the space is utterly charming. Word of caution though--it is not designed for people with mobility issues, there is no dishwasher, and the bathroom is a very small space. It would be uncomfortable for a large person.

The casita was an traditional well decorated adobe at the end of a private road. Plenty of parking with a nice walled outdoor area. It was clean but soft furnishings seemed a little worn and dirty including upholstery in living area and bedspread. Would be nice if some firewood be provided. Two great restaurants just down the street!

Beautiful small house. "Road" in is iffy but OK once you know. Quiet neighborhood, walking distance to local popular bistro. Near Santa Fe by convenient back road but out of the city bustle. Excellent responsive property manager.

Great, quaint, and rustic casita. Quiet and private, too. On hill just above The Tesuque Market and the restaurant El Nido.Close to Santa Fe. Stayed two weeks and wished I had booked a month. It's a fantastic place and everything about it exudes " Northern New Mexico." Would book again in a heartbeat.

#### Awesome little rustic villa!

We stayed here over Christmas for 3 nights and had a great time! Overall we'd give it 4.5 stars. I'll start with a few quirks about this place that previous reviews had mentioned as well. For starters, the amount of creaking the bedroom/floor puts out is almost comical. You can't even adjust your position in bed without waking up your partner, it's that loud. We still slept well, but definitely woke up our fair share each night, so be prepared for that. There are two bathrooms on the property, but one is only accessible by going outside and using a key to unlock an exterior door. We never used it because it's not exactly convenient. The main bathroom is off of the bedroom and isn't the most private. There's a little gate like door that doesn't really close all the way. I thought the listing mentioned a dishwasher, I know the checkout instructions do, but there isn't one. So be prepared to hand wash everything. Not a huge deal. Some folks had issues with having to pickup/drop-off the keys in Sante Fe, but it's less than 15 minutes and didn't bother us. Personally I think they should just add a lockbox to the place for more convenience, but perhaps they have their reasons. Other than these "quirks" the place is fantastic! We truly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen has everything you need to cook your own meals. My wife made prime rib with lobster tails on Christmas without issue here. It's a fully stocked kitchen, even down to a potato masher! The fact they permit dogs allowed us to have our whole family with us for the holiday. So that was nice. The entire place is old hardwood or tile, so it's no surprise they don't mind our furry friends. Just pick up your dog poop! I know I picked up some other people's dog waste upon our departure bc I didn't want to get dinged for that. Just be a good dog owner and it works out for everyone. I recall some people having a hard time finding the place, but we didn't. Just drive to the restaurant El Nido and drive behind it up the private drive, stay to the right. The welcome packet you pick up with the keys outlines this clearly. Speaking of El Nido, I would make a reservation there during your stay. We ate there for Xmas Eve dinner and it was fantastic. A bit spendy, but seriously good food and only a short walk away. There's also a little market just down the road with food and a bar for drinks. If the bed weren't so creaky, this place would get 5 stars easy. It's a nice, private little getaway!

#### Loved this casita in Tesuque!!

Great central location, and one of the most charming character packed vrbo homes I've stayed in!!! Excpet for the creaky bedroom floor! Lovely courtyard with lounge chairs nice in the morning for coffee and wnd of the day relaxing spot for a glass of wine. We truly enjoyed our twn nights at this casita!

Disappointed with location- narrow dirt road with trailer park at bottom , rear view of a business back lot- unsafe walking anywhere in the area- property VERY secluded (quite for sure), on arrival the stinch of rotting garbage was hard to stand while unloading vehicle- the property try’s to maintain historic value but missed simple luxury of a mattress that wasn’t comfortable and make weird squeaky noise every time you moved killing any sound sleep- lighting in master and bath was none existent- toilet seat was broken- kitchen door under repair and with 90 degree temp the rooms were unbearable with the two stand up circulating fans- property manager did not even contact about repairing toilet seat or removing old trash We checked out after second day forfeiting a night stay- the 5 mile drive into Santa Fe got to be old after the second trip- property may be best during winter months
