Modern apartment with a balcony facing the sea, where you can sit and enjoy the views or have a meal. Situated in the quiet location of Canico de Baixo near the beach and Promenade of Reis Magos where you can swim, catch the sun by the shore or go diving.  
  
\*Local tourist tax: every guest 18 and over is charged a small fee of 5 euros, per person.  
  
Guests have access to the entire property.  
  
We are GuestReady, a property manager, and we want to ensure your stay will be as smooth and comfortable as possible. We are available 24/7 should you need any assistance during your stay. Kindly note that this is a personal home, so please take good care of it as if it were your own.  
  
Caniço is conveniently located just a short drive from Funchal, Madeira’s capital, allowing visitors to easily explore the city's attractions while enjoying a quieter base. The town is well-connected by public transportation, with plenty of taxis and car rental services available for added convenience.  
  
Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to do in Caniço, with numerous hiking trails offering breathtaking views of the coastline and the Atlantic Ocean. The Garajau Nature Reserve, a must-visit for nature lovers and divers, showcases a rich marine life and the iconic Cristo Rei statue overlooking the ocean.  
  
With its mild subtropical climate, Caniço enjoys warm summers and mild winters, making it an ideal year-round destination. While the town is famous for its natural beauty, it also features interesting cultural sites, such as local churches and historical landmarks.  
  
Caniço offers stunning coastal views and beautiful beaches, including the popular Reis Magos Beach, renowned for its clear waters and excellent conditions for snorkelling and diving. The town boasts a diverse selection of restaurants and cafes, serving both traditional Madeiran cuisine and international dishes.  
  
Caniço centre is about 10 km from the Madeira capital. It has the typical hustle and bustle of a small town and the seaside area in Caniço de Baixo is a real holiday resort. Caniço de Baixo boasts a number of hotels, holiday homes with beautiful gardens, and seaside areas. which has unique conditions for diving.The waters of the Garajau Natural Marine Park are a big pull for visitors looking to sample some scuba diving and diving on Madeira.The best of the scuba diving is around Canico de Baixo, and a choice of scuba diving companies hire out equipment, give scuba diving lessons, and organise excursions.   
The hotels nearby offer a program of entertainment in the evenings and they welcome visitors  
The golf courses are within less than 30 minutes driving from the apartment.  
In the case that you wish to walk in the famous Levadas, there are some in the area.Madeira island is 310 miles from the African coast and 620 miles from the European continent.  
  
Golf: Golfers will be pleased to know that the new 18-hole Palheiro golf course is no more than a 20 minute drive. Classic Madeiran hills, ridges and deep valleys have all been incorporated into the terrain to produce a dramatically interesting course, with stunning views. The spectacular 27-hole Santo da Serra golf course (also known as Campo de Golfe and home to the Madeira Island Open) is also within easy reach. This is Madeira’s oldest golf course. It sits high up on a plateau and is marvelous scenic with inspirational views back up the mountains and out over the Atlantic below.  
  
Before your check-in, we will send you your check-in options and where to pick up the keys. Please note that personal check-in with a concierge costs 10€, pending availability.  
  
Once a reservation is confirmed, guests are requested to complete a guest registration form following the legal obligations stipulated by local authorities in Portugal.  
  
We provide the basic amenities for the first use: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products and bin bag. Please let us know if you need cleaning or extra linen; we will gladly provide an additional charge.  
  
There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 smoking fee at a minimum.  
  
Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€.  
  
Extra keys: 20€ (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys or service to open the door during your stay).  
  
Extra cleaning with linen: the price of a cleaning fee.  
  
Extra Clothing: 30€ (Towels and sheets for 2pax, i.e. when the sofa bed is not included).

Great views with a comfortable apartment. Within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and minimal shopping. I hope you like hills. If you do, this location is a must.
