Beautiful 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom on the UPPER LEVEL of Eastlake style Victorian duplex. You are just a minute or two walk from the Santa Cruz Main Beach, Wharf and Boardwalk. Surf at Cowell's or just enjoy the sun and fun. We have boogie boards and some wetsuits that you are welcome to use and there are books and games for the family. Approximately 1900 square feet of space. Multiple hand blown original glass bay windows, very bright and cheery. Lovely hardwood floors throughout. Beautiful trim details, doors, original hardware, amazing chandeliers, fantastic deck etc. See it on the cover of “The Sidewalk Companion to Santa Cruz Architecture” at the book section of the MAH (The Museum of Art & History). This is a rare opportunity to stay in one of the oldest and best-kept houses/landmarks in Santa Cruz. The intricate exterior is heavily adorned with gingerbread and is detailed with six colors. The space has a large living room complete with sofa, wing back chairs, and 60" 4K curved flat screen TV with cable and DVR. The dining room features a large dining room table with six chairs. The spacious kitchen has garbage disposal, gas stove, dishwasher, and newer refrigerator. One bedroom features a gorgeous four poster queen sized bed with a 37" flat screen TV, the second bedroom lovely antique bedroom set with a full bed and 55" flat screen TV with DVR, the third a queen sized Murphy bed and the fourth bedroom a remarkable full sized Murphy bed that transforms into a desk. One of the bathrooms has a clawfoot tub with pedestal sink, the second bathroom is a Jack and Jill to two of the bedrooms and has a shower. Both are nicely remodeled. The home is ideally located at the top of Beach Hill, with a very short walk (2- 3 minutes) to the beach/wharf or about ten minutes to downtown. Nice backyard and small upstairs back deck. Tandem parking for up to two large cars in driveway + 1 parking permit for street. Sorry, but we absolutely do not allow pets or smoking on the premises (inside or outside). Six of us stayed in the Victorian, although it is advertised for 8 people and can truly comfortably accommodate that full number. The house was emaculate, but more importantly all of the beds and seating were comfortable and truly felt like someone's home and not an staged property. We had an issue with a bathroom sink that we could ot figure out how to work the drain and the host sent someone over within an hour to fix the issue. Check in and out were clear and easy. And it really is a 3-5 minute walk to the wharf (shops/restaurats). We would recommend this property and most certainly stay there again. ##### Melinda N. Séjour de 3 nuits en août 2024 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Weiyi G. 3 sept. 2024 Points forts : Propreté #### Beautiful, comfortable property in amazing location We stayed over Labor Day long weekend with 4 adults and 4 children total (ages 2-5). The property was absolutely beautiful. As my 5 year old asked upon first seeing it "Why is this place so fancy?". 😁 Apparently Victorian mansions are also conducive to toddler sleep because both 2 year olds slept in until 8AM both days, gifting their parents with a heretofore unprecedented 9.5 hours of sleep. We were a 8 minute walk to the main beach, even at small child speeds, making beach trips easy and frequent. All rooms were comfortable (see toddler sleep above) and the kitchen was large enough for eating breakfasts and cooking dinners. The hosts were incredibly kind, letting us get into the property early and also letting us stay later as we dealt with a dead car battery the morning of our checkout.
